Criticisme is the reason why we have freedom, to be able to criticize what you deem immoral is important, because if "whatever" that was posed to be perfect, there wouldn't be anything to criticize all, therefore there is still room for improvements and if People don't speak out, the problem will only grow out of control.

Why would it be? Criticism is the backbone of freedom of speech. If it was counted as treason, then we would essentially be living in a police state.

I think some countries do it blatantly and others do it on the sly. Britain's new surveillance act will eat away at people rights to criticise and free speech. Anyone who says anything the government doesn't like they will go through your entire life with a fine comb. Emails, social media, browsing history etc.

It might not be treason or seen as an attack on freedom of speech, but I think it's far worse since it goes about it in a way where there is no transparency and the odds are stacked against you. You never know when they invade your privacy and use what they find against you.

Not where I am from (The Netherlands) you should be able to criticize anything, whether its the government, a religion, a person or political movements. Those parties on their behalve have the right to fully ignore you.
