Also, I never really gave Witcher 3 much credit. I watched friends play it, and I wanted to like it... But I could never shake this feeling that the only reason it got popular was because PC and Xbox gamers were trying to distract themselves from not having Bloodborne. Because, if I'm honest, everytime I tried to play it, I thought "I could be playing a game with a better combat system and atmosphere... And I'm so close to that Platinum..." 

I own 1 and 2 on PS2 and PSP; 3 and 4 on PS3 and Vita; and 5 on PS4. (I realize there is a terrifying lack of D2)

I'm a fan. But Disgaea hasn't been... Horse dickingly fantastic since the first one (and to a slightly lesser extent, the second). Mao was annoying, and the other two aren't memorable enough for me to know them as anything else but "those guys I used before I bought/unlocked Laharl, the real protagonist".

So far? Its tough. Between Splatoon, XCX, Bayo 2, and DKCTF, its hard to choose. Right now I'd have to say Bayo 2. It was about as perfect as an action game could be.

Tough call and yet I've not played all the games I wanted to play. So far, I have FE Awakening, Sm4sh, Splatoon, and Xenovlade Chronicles X so far up there in my best of generation games. It's hard to choose. You got one that really got me hooked into the franchise, one that was able to balance competitive with casual and create possibly the greatest crossover roster ever assembled, an addicting and competitive online multiplayer game with a solid single player campaign, and the biggest game I've ever played yet. And i haven't gotten to play Witcher 3, Bayo 2, ALBW, BotW, Bloodborne, Sun and Moon, etc.

Pokemon Y, Mario Kart 8, and Mario Maker are honorable mentions.

Fire Emblem Awakening, still hasn't changed for me
