Due to a strange set of circumstances, I have kind of bailed on Persona 4 Golden. I hope I can get back into it, but it's been 2 months, and I was only at the....they found the second person. I am currently an Earth Defense Force nut. I got the plats for both Vita games last month, started EDF 4.1 on the PS4 before mt PS4 was packed up for a move, and am now playing Earth Defense Force 2025 on PS3. Also gong for the plat on that one. Have a great group of friends I do online co-op with. Good times. E-D-F!

-edit. Wow. there's a lot of talk on this thread about Persona. lol.

What led to you stopping P4G?

Yeah, Persona is pretty big on these forums. I guess we're playing the older games to keep us occupied until February.

I admit that there are a lot of similarities between the 2 games, though it should be expected as they were released fairly close to each other. Also there are some characters that I think can be connected to in the games: Junpei is like Yosuke, Yukari is like Chie, Mitsuru is like Yukiko and Shinjiro is like Kanji (obviously it isn't exact but I couldn't help but relate these characters).

I am probably going to grind some more, as I normally grind a lot a the end of RPGs to avoid having to repeatedly facing the boss.

Also, I'm surprised that you have school. I don't start for almost 2 more weeks.

Yeah in Persona Q when the characters of 3 and 4 meet for the first time someone says: "some of you look and act similarly" xD

But Yukiko and Mitsuru? No way I mean maybe it's just because I hate Yukiko but I just can't connect her to Mitsuru (well actually I can see but I refuse to )

And I'm from Mexico so I already started school like 2 weeks ago.

Yukiko and Mitsuru both try to act like the responsible ones, with them both having to inherit and take on their fathers' business.  That's mainly why I associated them. Yukiko was my waifu in P4 so I'm much more fine with the comparison. I haven't played P4Q yet, but after playing Persona 3 + 4, Final Fantasy VII and Parasite Eve the next game that I will play will probably not be an RPG.

It's not too bad. The open world is kind of annoying to have to navigate through, but the story missions are fun. I also don't like how I have to buy skills to use parkour moves I could use at the beginning of the first game. Kinda limits my running abilities artificially.

Huh never played a ME game, getting ME for free this month with gold though. Is the first one better?

Definitely. The open world works to its' detriment. First one was just 10 linear levels, but they were well designed and way more fun.

I seem to perfer linear over open world so really hyped for ME now. It's always looked interesting to me. Open world could be cool though for that type of game. Just poorly executed? It seems like it coulda had potential.

It's just not a very fun open world. Everything looks samey, and it just works against you when you want to get somewhere in the world.

Absolutely nothing ATM. The last game I played was Grand Kingdom. I just waiting for Rise of The Tomb Raider on ps4 and Final Fantasy XV. Ive been thinking of buying Trails In The Sky Second chapter to give me something to play while I wait for them but I'm actually enjoying time off.

Add me if you want but let me know youre from this website

Just finished Mad Max on PC with almost all stuff done, it was a really good port. $8 on Kinguin woohoo.

Next will maybe be DX:MD, but it will have to be awhile. I have Overwatch, and I like it, but it's hard to find time. I chewed through Mad Max in late night sessions, and I paid for it during the days at work haha.

For the time being:

- Xenoblade X
- TMS #FE
- Splatoon (slowing down)
- Twilight Princess Picross (just started but should be able to finish the puzzles relatively quickly due to the lack of content and no paywall)

When Stella Glow goes on sale, I'll be getting that as well

[3DS] Winter Playtimes [Wii U]

I'm playing Dragon Quest 9 and I like it a lot. Also , I'm replaying Mario Galaxy 1 and I'm giving another try to Uncharted 2 (I'm having more fun than the first time I tried to play it).

I was playing Bravely default but the game showed its ugly face and became about doing exactly the same again and again and again and again (after chapter 4), it has the some of the worst padding ever. I stopped playing, got no time for bs like that.
