And it made more money than 90% of indie developers.

You're not celebrating some people feeling duped, are you?

I think the refund option only works until a player has hit the two hour mark, anything beyond that means that the player is stuck with the digital copy. Many players will have bought this game for the exploration and scope it promised, so a few technical issues in the beginning wouldn't stop them from playing. That mindset puts them over the two hour mark, the point of no return. When they then begin to realize that there isn't much variety and it seems to be the same thing over and over again, they can either give up on the game or keep going in hopes that it will eventually get better. Since this was a $60 investment, the majority will opt to keep playing despite not enjoying it, but eventually they will call it quits because it really doesn't get better.

The 2 hour limit is for an automatic refund, you can still get a refund if you go over 2 hours it just has to be authorised by someone in steam support. Given the issues this game has/had I would imagine it'd be pretty easy to get a refund over the 2 hour mark.

Don't ruin the moment

Oh dang lol!
Lost more than Pokemon Go!

Pocky Lover Boy!

I guess I am in the 90%, but I still think I will play it more.

Played it 70+ hours and after I got the platinum on monday I decided to take a break. Playing EU4 right now, but still want to play it more.

edit- So I did not click the link and took your word for it. HS people don't know how to read stats. Way to spin 90%. You are comparing its alltime peak team with with a weekday night.... If you properly compare this the number is more like between 60-70%, which is high, but not 90%.

If you really want to get a better guage wait until this weekend and compare the weekend high with the 1st weekend high. So either you know jack about how to read statistics or you purposely spun this for your own agenda.

Steam users may want to return the money back, so they should not delay the process because of limits. I still cannot believe the average time is around 17 hours. That's impossible. Maybe this average stat doesnt count the players, who used the return?

You also have to factor in the people that play the game obssessively logging more than 100 hours since launch which help drive the average up.

Signature goes here!

There isn't much incentive once you have the best ship, full armor and have completed both endings.

which is the same with every game. You have some people who have logged 2000 hours on skyrim some 5. The sheer number of sales for the game would mitigate a small but active group from completely skewing the data. So in this case alot of people played it quite a bit. And it seems obvious this game would die faster than others. Single player only plays a big part in that. I would be curious to look at a game like Final Fantasy(on an initial release) and see how that trends down. (except we dont have that data).
