Forums - PC Discussion - Confirmed: PS NOW service for PC In EU Regions

I can't understand why people all over the internet are going crazy because of this announcement. I've know this was happening since Sony said it was planned. Do people not bother reading certain statements or are they very forgetful?

Not everyone is religiously following gaming company news and perhaps also have other stuff to do in their free time? How can this even be?!

Even people who have interest in gaming don't remember everything what was once said and that is good. Especially considering that as a gamer you don't only follow news from one company so there is a lot of stuff to remember.

It's till odd to see this reaction when it was being discussed for months on some of the very forums I'm seeing the 'WOW' reaction. I can only assume people didn't believe what Sony said and thought we were just making it up. This was mainstream news and was reported on every site out there. Perhaps because it was always just an addenda to the articles? '... and Sony plan on rolling out the service to other devices in the future'? We had Blu-rays and then TVs and then the logical step from there was PC/Laptops. People were shocked when they announced it was coming to TVs too.

They need to drop the price of this service or offer better options.

They should have a casual price that is £5 a month and offers to let you play any 3 games a month.

A medium option for £6.99 with 5 games a month.

Veteran bundle at £10 a month for 10 games a month.

Yes, it's quite expensive at the moment but I'm sure as the service rolls out to more devices prices will begin to drop and we'll get more deals. Phones will be next and then it will truly be mass market, although the solution doesn't appear attractive at the moment and a custom controller that turns a variety of phones into a PS3 handheld hasn't emerged just yet. It's passable I suppose but not elegant:

I'm also thinking Sony may add one or two PSNow titles to PS+ to spice things up and funnel people onto the service. Once there they're more likely to 'give it a try'. Perhaps that will be announced at the meeting next month.

maybe because people can play some sony exclusives on pc and that's a good thing for those who want the service?

Cool. I can catch up on some PS3 games.

Just to add a thought here: Sony rolling this news out ahead of the Sony meeting could be an indication there's a PS4 Elite coming. This instantly increases the market for such a controller substantially.

I also just want to add, just to try and help those who for one reason or another didn't know this service was coming to other devices, that Sony also said PSNow may have NONE PS exlusives in the future, so older titles from (let's say) the Dreamcast are not out of the question. And to complete the picture, Sony have said PS1 and PS2 titles could eventually be brought to the service.

Anyone got info if PS Now is locked only to the DS4 controller?
