I get the same ads on mobile (I think) but most of the time you can close/flag them for covering the page.

Like I said, if you only browse using a mobile/cell phone then download AdBlock Browser. It's different browser for you phone and it works perfect for this site. Infact it seem to be a lot smoother altogether at browsing this website (compared to safari iPhone)

Funny thing were people warning about mods banning people because of mentions of ad blocker and then we have not only moderators but even site admins admitting the usage of it.

And funny that even with ioi away we get new ad formats showing in the site.

Get Opera mini, which has a built in adblocker, or get Dolphin and DL the adblock extension. The other alternative is to pay to get rid of ads, but tbh i wouldn't support a site like vgchartz in your position.

Tried Opera mini and it didn't work. Using Seven AdClear which works perfectly and keeps track of how many ads it has blocked. 

 

The adverts before I was able to close or hide, but the new ones can't be closed or hidden.

After seeing VGC with ads for the first time on mobile, I have not used this site other than on a PC with ABP :p

If you mean the pop up option, yes it's active. The problem is the ad isn't a pop up which is why chrome can't stop it either.

I downloaded the adblock browser because of the annoyance of this website and its ads. I really wish they would create a mobile version of it. Then the ads would be better controlled and wouldn't have to bitch about it.
