Nice to see Spirited Away at #4

Documetaries barely get any respect from movie critics since its a sub genre of film especially TV documentaries.  That doesn't take away from the fact that When the Levees Broke: A Requiem in Four Acts is one of the best documentaries in the last 20 years and the best documentary about hurican Katrina.  Anyway They Shoot Pictures has it ranked on par with 25th Hour and Do The Right Thing is ranked above everything else he did.

A.I. is nowhere close to being Spielberg's best picture I would rate all the worth a look pictures on this site above it.

I loved Mulholland Drive the first time I saw it though repeat viewings haven't managed to give quite the same impact. I suspect you have to be in the right mood for a film like that.

Overall it seems a good list. Of course not my list (My number one would probably be Spirited Away) but I've only seen half the movies here.

American Psycho, Collateral, Burn After Reading... those are from top of my head that are missing.

Why is Spirited Away great?

It certainly wouldn't make my top 100 movies. Neither would Children of Men. SUCKY LIST!!1!

No, is obvious enough. One of the most beautiful and creative animation films ever conceived.

Wouldn't call it sucky but wouldn't call it very good either too many obscure movies on that list.  Letters from Iwo Jima which isn't on the list could easily be a better replacement for over half the movies on this list.

Seeing Boyhood there reminds me of how amazing the Red Letter Media rants were about it...
