No problem if this isn't your thing - but if it isn't, then you could have just ignored it altogether.

Why not contribute a reasonable reply and keep the discussion interesting? In fact - this goes for everyone who has taken the liberty to have a go at the OP. If you can't reply without making things hostile/unreasonable, then don't post!

Thank you.

When they look in the mirror and recognize their race, what are the correct and acceptable feelings white people should feel towards their own race?
Do you believe white people cannot feel pride about their own race without that pride implying racism?
Is pride in your own race only ok when that pride comes from being a minority and being an oppressed race?
How do you think white people should feel about their own race?
|
I dunno, what are brown, yellow or black people supposed to feel about their race? What makes whites so special they alone deserve a mention by you?
|
The idea that white people should feel the same for their own race as any other race, it being pride or indifference, is something I can get behind.
I singled out white people here because I haven't seen a discussion about how white people should feel about themselves in society, against other races who openly express pride and union for their own.
I singled white people out to see you guys' opinions on white people and how they should see their own race.

Technically if you're a human being your genetic origin traces back to Africa, that's where all our bloodlines trace back to, the DNA doesn't lie. There isn't even a great deal of genetic variance between us, other species like birds and even dogs have far more variance. We're far more alike than many species. We have basically three primary different shades of skin pigment, two different hair types, and some variance in features like the eyes/nose primarily, and that's about it.
Even subgroups of species like say pigeons have more variance physically than we do.

You would think that such a unifying view of our species' origin would pose no controversy but then people:
