Forums - Sony Discussion - Ni-Oh Second Beta is out now!

My only problem with this game is that you only get 3 elixirs after every death i mean cmon thats fucking bullshit

Tell me about it, dying to Bosses is almost guaranteed in this game, meaning that if you want to have a chance of survival you need those 10 elixirs.

But what happends if you use them all and still die? You will find yourself on the tall grass farming like crazy just to get 5 or more elixirs.

That's very anticlimatic specially in a Boss stage :/

You should be able to buy them and make farming optional instead. I hope buying items gets implemented in the full release.

Going back in now. Anyone actually change stances when fighting bosses?!

Really weird. Keeps bringing up the screen to say cannot connect to psn every few minutes.

I think it's because I'm using the 4.0 beta.

I never change stance period, I don't see the point, high stances are much more powerfull for every weapon, ye they are somewhat slower but the efficiency is much higher specialy now that you can recover stamina by pressing R1 after your attack.

Is the Samurai Boss that gives you the Lightning Spirit Guardian the last thing to do in this demo ? Cause then I think I beat it. The game is much improved, its faster, the stamina regain system is nice, graphics look better and the begining of the game was definetly made easier so the difficulty curve is smoother now. The boss of the second stage was a little disapointing, she was realy weak, I 1 shot her. First boss is still as chalenging as he ever was and I wonder where did the second stage from the first demo go hehe. Also axes are still by far the best weapons, swords need to be bufed, they still suck, spears and dual swords are OK but can't hold a candle to axes.

For those who haven't played yet you get a different bonus when you clear the second stage, so if you beat both stages you will have the "mark of the conqueror" and the "mark of strength" (I think those are the names) wich will give you some unspecified benefit once the game launches.

It's 'cause I'm downloading stuff right now so all of their focus is aimed at my system.

Unless you are downloading a PS4, it won't make no difference to most people Pervy Sensei!

They don't discriminate between PS3, PS4 or even Vita, when dropping attention to focus on me.

Now i know why they haven't made a LoD sequel yet, they have been giving all their attention just looking at you lol

I died a lot, but I'm enjoying it. I'm finding it harder than DS3 and Bloodborne.

Not bad, it feels like a Dark Souls and Ninja Gaiden bastard child xD. I find hard the ki management, and pressing R1 each time I finish a combo. Also, I don't know what combat style and weapon suit me better, I'm working on it. It's fun, and it's more forgiving that I thought it will be, based on the alpha reacions.
