As a PS4 owner I'd like to see more value added to PS+ if they're going to up the price to equal LIVE.

Wonder if this is the "CoD tax" like MS had to pay last gen.
I doubt this results in any better PS+ offerings. I guess this will make cheap PS+ cards a little more expensive.
Brazil pricing also increasing: http://blog.br.playstation.com/2016/07/27/playstation-plus-jogos-gratuitos-para-agosto-de-2016/
This is another indication that the new PS4s will be cheaper than expected by the way.

Absolute deal breaker. I'm not renewing after my sub ends this month. Fuck Sony.
This is only the beginning. This is just the natural evolution of the subscription services on gaming. The market accepted the Live fees on the 360 when PS3 online services were free, and now that the PS4 put a paywall on its online multiplayer, the market, once again, didn't say a word. Now that the companies know that people won't complain about subscriptions and need them for most multiplayer nowadays, they can safely increase the price. Why not, it's not like people would abandon it in any significant amount. They have the market grabbed by the balls, now that fees on multiplayer is commonplace. The thing that terrifies me the most out of all of this is that some companies might start charging for their servers on PC.
I came in here planning on making a joke about the price going up $10 a year by pretending it's a big deal that the price is going up after 6 years.
Little did I know, It's apparently a big deal. I guess I'll go fuck myself.
Bet with Adamblaziken:
I bet that on launch the Nintendo Switch will have no built in in-game voice chat. He bets that it will. The winner gets six months of avatar control over the other user.
I Already was expecting this for the Brazilian PS+, The US$ was 4R$(it was 2R$ a year before) so 1 year was 25US$ here.
Now it is 129R$ for Brazil, with the dollar at 3.20R$ it is = 40-41US$(With the dollar at a normal rate, would be= 65-70US$) from 31-32US$
I don't really get this move, the dollar is increasing in value and they have a lot of subscribers..
*Stolen from Zhuge ex no worry didn't stole his jokes'
