Okay so basically I am confused.  You said There are no features cut.  Then you said that people should expect things to be cut.  Are you referencing past slims?  From what I remember on the PS3 Slim lost features.  PS2 went from Ethernet extention to built in Ethernet.  As far as 4K support, I don't think anyone is really expecting this.  I think that the product I have now is more than sufficent and I suspect a slimer cheaper PS4 will be seen as very attractive.

Close. RATHER than expecting additional features, people should expect features cut because of former slim revisions.

Okay I finally understand what you are saying but most times the only thing getting cut is the size as they move to a small process.  And thats what I was getting at before when I was like:  It still plays gams, VR and everything that the PS4 does so it really just smaller and hopefully cheaper. BTW a 1TB was uncovered.  I think that will probably be $349 so in reality, you are getting more lol.  More space and I think it is reasonable for people to expect that (at the current 349 USD pricepoint).

Ok so I've done a little bit of digging. I know the guy said no optical audio but he could of just missed it. Somebody drew attention to that yellow triangle. I thought it looked like a warning symbol so I google imaged optical audio warning label. This is what it returned

Yeah.... but we've seen the console from all angles, and it's been heavily studied to the point where people are paying attention to yellow triangle symbols. There is no Optical Port on the model shown.

That settles that then. The symbol must relate to disk drive laser which is strange since its enclosed.

There is definitely something resembling a square port on the left of that yellow triangle though...

It's pretty much confirmed no optical by the sounds. It would be out of place to have optical audio there so it makes sense it's not a port.

Yeh you are right... I mean most people that know what an optical port is(the guy in the video) would know quite clearly what an optical port looks like. Bit disappointed in Sony here. I can understand being cost effective, but would that $3 port(at most) have killed them??

When it comes to things being cut, I'm reminded of the PS3 Slim and the Xbox One S (they cut the Kinect port). It happens on cheaper models. Shouldn't be a major topic of discussion, nor a surprise to anyone who's been paying attention the last 10 years.

If you want the premium option, the NEO is what you'll go for.

Yeah, I think it is pretty obvious that the slim is designed for the casual/price-conscious consumer in mind. The big question is how much will the PS4's price be reduced?
