You have no idea what you are talking about. You sound like some rich kid who has never had any real problems in your life.

Right, explicitly citing logical fallacies you're guilty of is having "no idea what [i am] talking about". Are you seriously this delusional or is this a prank?

People are not always in full control over their emotions and cant think clearly. People who have just gotten out of a relationship, been bullied at school, experienced the death of a loved one or depressed over somthing else. Making it easy for them to die doesnt solve anything. They need help to overcome their feelings and state of mind. Not be put down like some unwanted dog. Get a grip.

You consider it humane because you assume that it will end the patient's suffering.  In fact, you have no idea what comes after this life.  Holding up euthanasia as a means to end suffering is total guess-work and euthanasia advocates selling this to patients without a shred of proof of what lies on the other side is wrong.

I for one know that hell is real and I also know that the suffering there is far worse than anything in this life and I want to help as many people as possible avoid it.  That is why I oppose euthanasia.

For the record, I am a Catholic and I strongly oppose the death penalty, as well.

And I know that hell is not real.  I would imagine I am exactly as sure of this as you are of hell's existence.  We both claim to know what happens after we die, but neither of us can prove it.

If you have terminal cancer and are making a decision to continue to live or not, whose opinion should we consider?  Mine or yours?

It would be hypocritical for me or anyone that is pro-choice to impose their own individual will's on everyone else about euthanasia ...

Questions regarding religion or the afterlife should not be forcibly raised in the face of this decision ...

That being said, I'd prefer it if someone pulled the plug on me after being in a year of coma ...

Finally you make an actual relevant point to the discussion. Indeed, we should have them be psychologically evaluated to ensure they are of sound mind when making such decisions. Emotional reactions are not decisions at all.

Absolutely for it. Just put them out of their misery.

For it. Everyone wants to have rights for this, that, and everything. Personal death, for whatever reason, falls under this too. If you disagree with this. You might as well ban it, for pets. Because people are hypcorates, for allowing it on a dog, but not a human.

I think so but I worry old people would be bullied into ending their lives early by relatives.

You have to remember for older people they may be miserable and close to death and recover and be long enough to see see one of their sons pass away.

(happening to my Grandma and Uncle) lol

This is not a personal choice, though. We are arguing personal choice. That would be wrong, and murderous.

Not everyone is strong enough to make such a huge decision indepdent of other people thoughs and opinions.
