Forums - Movies & TV - Sausage Party wasn't very funny

Its a comedy released in the 21st century. Made by Evan Goldberg and his cronies no less. Of course it wasn't going to be funny...

Around the Network

Meh... seen better seen worse. It was actually one of the better comedies I have seen in cinemas in the last couple of years. Had a few good laughs, but I have to agree, only few of them were clever, the remaining were infantile at best and absolutely insensitive at worst. Not a huge offender in my eyes. The biggest problem was the absolutely superficial way they handled most issues they tried to criticize, something of a missed opportunity.

I saw the trailer, and expected from the premise what could have been expected from it. It mostly delivered in my eyes. A solid 6/10.

I'd recommend waiting for DVD - or even Netflix.

I'm waiting for Netflix. Or amazom prime, whichever it comes to.

There was a mom who came with her 3 kids in the theatre. They did not laugh once.

I don't know what's more surprising, that kids didn't laugh at crass jokes or that someone actaully took their kids to this movie.

How old were they??? How did they even get in?

They were around 8-11 I would say. The movie is MA15+ so they can get in with a parent or guardian.

I can't imagine was going on in the woman's head during that orgy scene.
