Forums - Movies & TV - Sausage Party wasn't very funny

That movie was disappointing. I was expecting barrels of laughs but only had a couple of good laughs throughout the movie. Some chuckles here and there. Some of the gags and word-play were pretty clever but the best scenes (notably the food getting eaten/cooked) which were in the trailers are still the best ones.

There were long scenes that dragged on forever and weren't very funny.

There was a mom who came with her 3 kids in the theatre. They did not laugh once.

5/10.

Most movies anymore, they show almost all of the good/funny parts in the previews. That's why i just wait for them to come out on blu-ray, and haven't been to a theater in 9-10 years.

I don't know what's more surprising, that kids didn't laugh at crass jokes or that someone actaully took their kids to this movie.

How old were they??? How did they even get in?

Please tell me that was just a dream about mom and her 3 kids in the theater...

Heard it ends with a bang.

Lol one of my co-workers told me that there were parents that took children to see this movie when he went to see it.

Proud to be a Californian.

It's such a bummer when the best gags are already in the trailer, then you go expecting more of them and not only there aren't more at the same level but you don't enjoy the good ones because you have already saw them, is so damn annoying.

Anyway, I don't believe you yet, we have usually opposite views in movies (we did mostly agree with Stranger Things though but I still don't believe you)

Yeah it was pretty dissapointing. Only a couple of scenes (and maybe the last 5 minutes) were funny - I'd recommend waiting for DVD - or even Netflix.

Oh God, poor children, taken to the cinema to see a movie not made for them and that even has bad jokes, I wonder how they got in the cinema though...
