Forums - Gaming Discussion - When was the last time you played an arcade game?

Last time I played a cabinet game was a few months ago when my wife was shopping , across the street from the mall was a small arcade with some old classics like WWF, Samurai shodown and my favorite Strider. Makes me think of the first arcade games I played like Defender, joust and my favorite at the time Tempest.

a few months ago at a Dave and Busters.

traditional arcades are getting a bit uncommon, I rarely see them at malls, pretty much the only place you regularly still see them are at like boardwalks/piers and certain city areas.

that said the food/arcade restauraunts have taken off a bit

Been forever, even when I go to Arcades I rarely play arcade video games. They basically only have shit games compared to the air hockey or basketball games. I'm not paying to play fruit ninja or doodle jump -_-
Daytona is probs the only decent game at my arcade.

Beginning of July. There was Super Street Fighter 2 cabinet at the video game store I needed to exchange a game at. I did make my own pedestal to play with. It's pretty damn awesome.

A few months ago at a place called GameWorks, here in South Florida. Right now, I'm about 300 dollars away from getting my custom cabinet built that has over 30,000 games on it....including games like the 1989 TMNT, Turtles In Time, Simpsons, X-Men, Time Crisis, etc. It will have the gun attachments and stuff. I truly miss the arcade era. I beat a lot of folks in MK2 and 3, Severely!

What, you will have 30,000 Arcade games with easy access through an Arcade cabinet?

How is that possible and what's the final cost?

4-5 years ago, I can't remember what game it was.

The currency I used to play arcade games was replaced with the Euro, so more than 14 years ago.

About 20 years ago on vacation in spain.

Yesterday :) I played a Luigis Mansion game and a Transformers game. Both were sort of rail shooters, with Luigis mansion letting you control a cool looking poltergust peripheral.

1 year and a half ago in which I played Soulcalibur.
