Forums - Gaming Discussion - When was the last time you played an arcade game?

When was the last time you played an arcade game? Not an arcade port to consoles - but walk up to a cabinent and play the game.

Do you play any particular ones regularly or have a favorite?

Me personally - Last weekend I played a crappy hunting arcade game and some DDR.

A few weeks earlier I put $10-$12 into the Star Wars Battle pod at Dave and Busters (totally worth it, will play more again sometime). Also did Luigi's Mansion (eh), Mario Kart GP (ok, could be better) as well as the most recent Jurassic Park rail-shooter (fun).

I predict NX launches in 2017 - not 2016

About a month ago. There is a game place that has dozens of old arcades and consoles where you pay $10 for unlimited play for the day. I still enjoy playing the classic X-Men arcade game.

1h ago. I've built a cabinet for myself. Once in a while I play on it.

SF2 and MK1

A couple of days ago. I have an X-Arcade cabinet built that has a couple hundred games.

Favs are Bump&Run, X-Men, Turtles in Time, and Simpsons.
I love the 4-player beat-em ups.

Favorite game to play on cabinet is a pinball game run through Virtual Pinball, Medieval Madness.

2010 when I had my graduation and we went to this Fun Castle thing and they had Time Crisis arcade game... I enjoyed it until I died and it asked me for more money

Must have been Mario Kart GP DX. I don't remember how long ago that was, maybe a few months.

A few months ago. Barcades can be awesome.

its been forever, consoles has killed arcades.

A few months ago at a place called GameWorks, here in South Florida. Right now, I'm about 300 dollars away from getting my custom cabinet built that has over 30,000 games on it....including games like the 1989 TMNT, Turtles In Time, Simpsons, X-Men, Time Crisis, etc. It will have the gun attachments and stuff. I truly miss the arcade era. I beat a lot of folks in MK2 and 3, Severely!
