No one discriminates between AAA or indie, as far as I'm concerned. Particulary when the later is a word that has lost most if not all its meaning at this point.

I do

Dang it Ka-pi! I was going to say this! But you beat me to saying "Ka-pi does"! Dx

I feel that discrimination from AAA and indie has been shrinking, with there being a good amount of good indies being released on various platforms.

I also feel this isn't to exclusive to Sony either. None of the big 3 look to discriminate them and treat them better and with more respect now. Nintendo nowadays treats them pretty well too, and I'm sure MS does as well.

MS parity clause - http://bgr.com/2015/01/16/xbox-one-indie-games-parity-clause/

MS admitting the parity clause with cringy quotes from Phil Spencer "Millions of people own Xbox One and I want those people to feel like they're first class, because they are"  http://www.eurogamer.net/articles/2014-10-10-microsofts-indie-parity-clause-exists-so-xbox-one-owners-feel-first-class

What we do know is that MS has strict parity clauses they've admitted to and to get them removed to have to give them explanation for them to let you avoid this parity clause.

Idk if you are confused as to what the parity clause is or if you're confused as to what discriminate means, but nothing you typed in any way shows Microsoft discriminates AAA from indie. It does however show they discriminate between day one multiplatform titles and moneyhatted games coming later to their console, whether it's AAA or indie or A or AA or anything else.

In fact, even having a parity clause in the first place doesn't make sense if they think less of indies. But there's no point in debating this with you :)

Yep, pushing around indies and telling indies what they need to do to allow to release on Xbox while not having a similar system in place for AAA budget games isn't disciminating. /s

I like the twist though but MS have no vacant PR jobs!

Edit: Added this to first post - What we do know is that MS has strict parity clauses they've admitted to, to get it removed you have to give them explanation. As far as I'm aware they don't have anything like this in place for AAA budget games. "Sorry Activision, those COD maps that were on PS first, we don't wan't them". You can imagine how a big company would react to that sort of restriction. An Indie developer can be pushed around more and MS exploit this.

Looking at NMS metascore.

33 "green" reviews and 40 "yellow" ones, 71% total, not far off from Destiny, we all know how successful that game is, so I am not sure NMS classifies as a disaster.

Personally, I might check NMS one day after it's patched to oblivion, but I have zero interest in Destiny.

So nice speach there from a great man Jim Ryan but the other translation say:
Thats why indies has already the 1/3 of AAA game price and goes up. They don't care if is a 2 hour indie game or has not at least platinum trophy, you must pay 20 euro beacause is a great 2hour game, deal with it hahahaha

I don't think any of the big three "discriminate" against indies or smaller titles.

They often ask for a bonus map or something. The parity clause states there must be something different. It's the only thing they ask. It is also presumably the reason why KH 2.8 and FFVIIR won't hit the XONE (because there won't be any difference, though for the latter, a "Collection" game might be different enough...

Not Ori, but I am pretty sure NMS is anything BUT a disaster and this is coming from someone who has beef with Sony...
