Forums - Sales Discussion - Black Friday and Cyber Monday

Ok so i have been thinking, with the Neo being announced in September and probably coming out soon after that; I have been wondering when best and how best to get the stuff I need.

I want to buy a 55" 4k HDR tv from LG..... This ONE which is currently going for around $900.

I currently have a projector but I've decided I'm gonna switch things around a bit and go with a TV instead and use the TV as a sorta PC monitor too. Long story.

Anyways what I'm wondering does anyone have any idea what kinda deals we get on things like these in November around the thread titled holidays? Cause if there is money to be saved I can wait that long and buy the TV along with a Neo. Or maybe even go for the 65" version instead.

Any info would be great.

I am surprised can get a 4K HDR 55" TV at below $1000 which seems like a good deal in 2016. I'd be surprised if holiday sales had it under $700, but up to you how badly need it now or not.

Can't wait for the holidays here when things get even more expensive than they already are!

I remember we had a good PS4+TV deal last year somewhere being reported here, so I'm willing to say deals should be coming around that time of the year.

But seriously, you don't need a 65" TV, don't waste money with just size greed.

Lol yh, i probably dont. Especially considerig that my new setup will habe me basically gaming just atound 3-4ft from the TV. Kinda why i need to at least get a 4kTv.

I actually tried out a 32" with my new arrangemet and found that to be ok. But it's hard or nearly impossible finding 32" 4kTvs that aren't ridiculously expensive monitors. So it's actually more cost effective just getting a 55" and I'm going with LG cause of Web OS.

I plan on spending no more than $800 for the TV. And I'm willing to wait for the deals. Guess I'll settle for 55".

As it stands I can even get another LG 55" 4K HDR Tv for under $700. But that one doesn't seem to support the magic remote. So I'm basically paying $200 more just to have a unit that supports magic remote. I may end up just not going with the magic remote thing anyways.

But from what I saw last year, we can get as much as 20-40% off most TVs around that time of the year.

Hell, right now you can even get a 4k 55" non HDR Roku tv from TCL for under $560.

Too many choices......

Wow, where are you buying your TVs? Our's cost around 800 dollars, and it wasn't a smart TV.

Amazon according to his link. I'm impressed as well, had no idea how quickly 4K HDR TVs had fallen. Seems like two years ago were $2000+ for 55" or larger.

Well, if you're crazy enough to actually go to a retail store on Black Friday to fight other shoppers, they usually have some TV's on doorbuster sales for like half off, but because they're doorbusters they're very limited quantity. Normal Black Friday/Cyber Monday sales are more like 20% off.

Thats not even an option for me. I stay in the Carribeans. So i buy all my stuff from amazon/NA. Everything gets here around a day after arriving at the forwsrding address service we use over here.

Basically, everything o buy gets sent to Miami, then the next day it's here in Saint Kitts. pretty nifty setup.

and I can't have my sis go to a store to pick anything up on BF, she woukd probably be running to the make-up section not the TV section lol.

What kind of TV do you have?  I bought a Samsung 4k smart tv (48 inches) for only $750.00.

I would wait until Black Friday. I'm sure you could get a good deal online, so no need to go to the store and wrestle people for TVs.
