I basically ignored the hype for NMS(I ignore hype for most games not called Zelda, Final Fantasy or Elder Scrolls). I ended up buying it a few days after it came out because I read the reviews and wanted to try it. The reviews said it was not for everyone but if you like the idea of a space exploration game it is very good. So I was like why not....... 

 

Well that is all I have done since them. Spent every waking moment not at work playing this game. It is so much fun. I guess what is "not in it" does not bother me because I went into it know little more than it was procedural generated and it had essentially an infinite amount of planets. 

I have monitored the Reddit sub for the game and I have come to the conclusion that many gamers are entitled f-ing losers. Sitting there on their keyboards crying about how they are owed an explanation and blah. blah. blah. It's pathetic really. The whole if it were 40 dollars it would not be such a big deal thing is rediculous. Its 60 f-ing dollars... = to a dinner and a movie for 2.... it not like you just blew an entire paycheck on it. 

I had better stop now. After seeing behaviour recently of many in the gaming community I want nothing to do with them. 

Thats a pretty good way to dismiss other users problems with the game.

You admit yourself that you have not been following the game. Well the people that have been following it was promised a bunch of stuff that would be in the game, such as Epic Space battles, Fractions, Planets with orbits around the sun a whole Universe with multiable galaxy's to explore, Multi player, Crafting like in minecraft etc etc. Most of this stuff was talked about and shown just 4 months ago then the game gets its final delay and we end up with a shell of what was promised!, and you call others mental for making a list to show people like you who try saying nothing is missing yet you have not even been following the game and are calling people mental for bringing up real problems.

IMO!, most of the people defending No Mans Sky as being a great game are mostly Sony fans who never played another survival game since the isnt many other ones on their console.

Its highly gimped as a Survival game and its highly gimped as a Space Sim compared to what they had promised.

The reason why people say about the price is compared to other survival games even Space based ones like Empryion or Space Enginers, No mans sky has a much higher price with much less content.

And its looking like all that content was cut 4 months ago just so they can sell it to you as DLC.

Hey now buy No Mans Sky: Multiplayer DLC, Fractions DLC, Crafting DLC etc etc..

to sit and take the time to make a comrehensive list. to do that well... anyways....

To me the game is fun as it is. If they add more. GREAT! If not I will remember it fondly as I move on to other games this fall. 

Like I said I did not follow the hype, I am playing the game and am simply baffled by certain peoples responses. I guess certain people simply lack the ability to enjoy a game for what it is, their minds are stuck on what they thought it would be.
