Forums - Nintendo Discussion - Skyward Sword HD is a pretty safe bet

1. It's the only 3D Zelda left to be remastered

2. It has NOT been offered either as a Wii eShop game or Nintendo Select. More Wii Nintendo selects are very unlikely. If there's no budget re-release planned, something else could be on the horizon.

3. Nintendo routinely delivers new Zelda games (including spinoffs, portable games, and remasters) as often as they can provide them. Since 2011, we get one or two at a time every 6 months/other year

4. You have to figure they nearly considered delaying Skyward Sword to be WiiU launch title. It wouldn't be surprising if they had HD assets for this game already.

5. Because Zelda amiibo sell really well

6. Aonuma said "it's definitely possible". Did he ever address possibilities Majoras Mask 3d or Twilight Princess HD as directly? No.

Bonus: As a rather refined motion controlled game, it could be a really great VR title.

I predict NX launches in 2017 - not 2016

I would definitely buy skyward hd but I really want Nintendo to remaster games besides Zelda titles. Between the GameCube, Wii and 3ds they're sitting on a goldmine and that's just the easy stuff. Super metroid with hd sprites and backgrounds or super Mario 64 with 3d world textures would sell like hotcakes

It'll come eventually.

I hope not anytime soon though, they should lay-off of the Zelda milking for the time being, besides Breath of the Wild obviously. And I'm like, the biggest fan and would buy anything, but even I think they really stretched it with too many unnecessary releases in the 8th generation, risking the series' impeccable track record and image in the process. I get why though, Zelda's a safe and reliable bet in a tough gen like this was, whether they're new, remasters or spin-offs.

Anyway I hope they wait a while. Maybe even until the generation after NX. Skyward Sword is still too new. Heck I even considered Twilight Princess too new.

Yeah, tt's 100% happening. Just wait some months after NX release and it will get announced.

There is no such thing as too much zelda.

We can only hope. A Skyward Sword HD would complete the 3D Zelda remaster collection.

Ocarina of Time 3D
Majora's Mask 3D
Wind Waker HD
Twilight Princess HD
Skyward Sword HD

Make it happen, Nintendo!

Honestly, it's only a matter of time before it's released. I'm convinced it will happen sometime during the NX lifetime. I just really hope they change it up without the motion controls. It's already my favorite 3D Zelda, but without the annoying motion controls, it would probably end up being my favorite Zelda and I would love to experience the game this way.

I bet they'll delay BotW and release SS HD as a "sorry guys" card...

Bet with bluedawgs: I say Switch will outsell PS4 in 2018, he says PS4 will outsell Switch. He's now permabanned, but the bet will remain in my sig.

I honestly think that while NX probably won't be backwards compatible with the Wii U or 3DS, that it could still use motion controls for things like Wii and Wii U titles off the Virtual Console and remakes of their games... like Skyward Sword.
And seeing Skyward Sword remade in PS4/Xbox One level graphics.... oh dear I'm fapping at the thought of it!

There's certainly no such thing as too much new Zelda!
