I dunno what the big deal is, I think this looks great. When a franchise gets as old as Resident Evil, I think it's good for it to try to reinvent itself every now and then. We saw them successfully do this with Resident Evil 4, but then it started tumbled downhill with the sequels. Given the fan backlash, they've realized (finally) to listen to their fans and try to reach more towards the horror side of things. No, it's not exactly like the original games, and I think that's good, because games have evolved since then. Plus, given the story they're trying to tell in this one, it looks like they're trying to show us the Resident Evil universe from the perspective of someone who isn't in the military/police, which I think is relieving and a good change for the franchise. No, it doesn't appear to be tied to the previous entries' mythology, and I also think that's good, because HOLY SHIT did that get convoluted!

I say give them a chance and lets just see how this turns out before we say they've done the franchise a disservice. At least they ARE trying to listen to our complaining about wanting the games to be rooted more in horror.

Honestly? I'm excited for it.

I'd rather play this game much more than a possible direct sequel to RE6.

Finally someone gets it. I absolutly love the new direction they took. For oldschool RE we will get the remake of 2, for something extra we get this. Love the vibes the trailers gave to me, day 1 buy for sure.

Also, I am kind of annoyed that people who were screaming"too much action" for previous entries are the same who are bitching about this new direction. There is simply no pleasing some people...

Indeed. I was actually annoyed by the "too much action" from Resident Evil 6, at least on Chris and Jake's campaign (Leon's campaign was Ok).

Now, we have Resident Evil 7 focused on the horror aspect... And I'm loving it!

Clearly going to be the worst RE game ever made
Seeing this is as sad as Metal gear survivor

I like it!

Proud to be the first cool Nintendo fan ever

Number ONE Zelda fan in the Universe

DKCTF didn't move consoles

Prediction: No Zelda HD for Wii U, quietly moved to the succesor

Predictions for Nintendo NX and Mobile

The final game won't be all grainy like this: Capcom have stated that this is a clip that you find in the game and that is why it has those effects.

To much action and a terrible gameplay ballance made this game the first main entry in the franchise where I actually had to admit that the series went to shitters (yes the game had its moments but overall it was mediocre at best). I loved the RE7 demo, it is so promising and teasing in the same time. This new trailer makes me question what it will be even more. Cant wait for the final game. If they pull this off, Im back on the RE fan vagon

So there was complaining that the game went to much action, so the reasonable response is take all action off completly? sure, that makes sense. F*ck midle grounds.

It takes genuine talent to see greatness in yourself despite your absence of genuine talent.

Nice. Hopefully this is as good as RE4.
