Seriously. Instead of playing it safe and remaking one of the older MG games with the FOX Engine (since they have all the assets from TPP), they releasing a L4D clone.

The trailer of MG Survivor is having so many dislikes that Konami will probably remove it soon LOL. This game was destined to bomb from the moment it was announced.

So who should take the IP?

I would say Square Enix or Activion. SE has many studios like Crystal Dynamics and EIDOS and they could make a decent Metal Gear imo. Activision has the unlimited budget to make it AAA game but do they have skills for a MG game?

God bless us if Activision or EA buy MGS. It's better if Konami keeps it if those are the possible buyers.
SE would take forever to end the dvelopment of the game (just like when Kojima worked on it) and I don't know if they can make that kind of game...

Naughty Dog is a good choice but it's a Sony studio and this would automatically make the next MG a Sony exclusive. I was trying to avoid mentioning First Party studios because i didn't want any console wars in this thread.

Its not Metal Gear that its dead.Its Konami that is.Unfortunaly its going to take years for them to sell the IPs, if that even happens, since they are still healthy.Having said that, the best company to buy the IP would be Sony.They could easily create a team for the game.Hire some new talents, put seasoned developers from ita other teams on the game, even if its not permanent, and maube even consult Kojima to have him help on the direction of the game.I think that could work

Honestly I think it needs a break. I personally wouldn't want any well known publishers to take it on as they could instead be giving us new IPs or reviving those that have been out of the spotlight for a while.

The game itself doesn't look that bad but probably should have had a different name.

After last year's display, Konami could make the best game ever made and it would still get scorn and shame from their audience. It's the company what's dead, not the IPs.

Although a franchise so story-driven like MGS should have ended when Kojima wanted, and not force more story where there isn't.

Konami should sell all of their IPs, not only MGS. They've murdered every IP that is not PES or Yugioh.
