60

This game is screwed irregardless of how good it is. The anti-hype is too strong.

I'm going with 70, it'll be better than fans of Metroid are expecting (a better videogame, not a better Metroid game) but far from an essential addition to the 3DS software library.

People that voted higher than 70 are trolling imo.

Also even if it did score good, its word-of-mouth is so bad right now.

They shouldnt have used Metroid in the game.

This game is gonna end up 60-65 ish on Metacritics I think.

Alot of fans wont buy it, simply because its not the metroid game they wanted.

I think its off to a flop, but I doubt nintendo put in all that much work or money, into this game, so it ll probably work out fine.

Don't be so fast telling things you could regret in 2 days.

I really dont see Metacritics rateing this higher than 70.

Some reviewers have already played it deep, from what I have heard looks like the game has a decent main campaign that last 10 - 15 hours and changes things depending if you are playing alone or with friends, also looks like the single player is better than expected, the number of conexion problems and annoyances related to the online multiplayer is very low, Blast Ball is pretty fun and the controls of the overall game feels close to the originals MP on GC.

I'm not interested on getting this game, not at full price at least, however, appart from being unappealing to Metroid fans and looking generic, it doesn't really look like a terrible game, not a great one at all, but a 71 is not that crazy.

I just hope critics don't unfairly crap on the game just because of the negativity surrounding it.

It will probably have a metascore of 67. Wouldn't be surprised if it drops below 60 though.

I expect a solid 80. Previews are being quite good and almost everyone seems surprised by how good the game actually is. Also, after watching the Q&A of Gamexplain, I've seen things that might confirm my suspects: the story mode being between 10 and 15 hour long to complete, having A LOT of variety between missions, gameplay and controls being really good and polished, online working pretty much perfect... The only thing they can really complain are graphics and not being the Metroid we wanted, but the second one just doesn't seem fair for the rating of this game.

Sure, it will not be original Prime Trilogy level of good, but I can see it scoring very well.

Also, for everyone saying this shouldn't be named "Metroid"... How shouldn't? I mean, it has Space Pirates, it has the Galactic Federation, it has Samus, it has the GFS from Metroid Prime 3, the door design is the exact same as in that game, the story is about what happens after the destruction of Phazee and Dark Samus... I don't know, this game seems to have all the right to be named "Metroid".

I guess that it will be around 74.
