Forums - Politics Discussion - Trump "Exhausted, Frustrated, Bewildered" As Campaign In Meltdown

Hilary is not easy to beat. Obama, who is probably the most charismatic politican the world has seen in 20-30 years *barely* beat her in the primaries in 2008 (in fact she beat him on the popular vote) and has said that primary was his hardest election to win (not the presidency). Clinton runs a very disciplined campaign, and like her or not, she does have a very large base of support. Her supporters just don't post on Facebook 393848489 times a day like Bernie supporters do, but they're definitely there.

If Trump ever thought this was going to be easy, he was very badly mistaken.

There is no arguing that. But in all honesty I do find it strange that she still managed to get herself out of every mess she was in without a scratch. The DNC leaks pretty much prooved that she was the favoirite candidate. I am not supporting anyone (why should I, I am not living in the US) but every sign point towards dirty play from her part.

Her emails are available in the open. Anyone can look at them, fact is there's no intent there, other than a 65+ year old woman who was careless with an email server, the vast majority of emails were not even classified at the time.

Trump is the one if anything who's been given a much longer leash. He routinely (as in every week) says things that would sink any other politican's campaign, and while it is now catching up to him, the fact that he even made it this far is stunning. This is a man who called John McCain a loser for getting being a POW in Vietnam and enduring torture for his country for example. He said *literally* he could shoot someone in the middle of a busy New York street and still win the Republican primary. Can you imagine any other person running for political office saying these things?

He's also again refusing to release his tax returns, while Clinton has released hers and the voter can look at her tax returns for the last 15+ years.

To me this is a false narrative. Trump is the one who has gotten away with things no other politican would dream of and has been given a free pass by the press on a lot of things, but now his mountain of bullshit is just collapsing in around him.

To be fair I realize that Trump is an idiot. I just think that Hilary is far worse.

A lot of these are false equivalencies.

1.) She was careless with a email server, but fact is the vast majority of those emails weren't even classified at the time. The emails are available to read for anyone right now, go ahead to your heart's content. There's no mind blowing secret in them, you can bet your ass conservative fact checkers dug through them three times over.

2.) Again this is stupid IMO. The Middle East in case you haven't noticed is a fucking dangerous place and America is not well liked. It's sad what happened, but no American politican can "stop" a hostile person in the Middle East who wants to do harm. It's hard enough in Western countries to prevent lone terrorists, now imagine a country where there could be hundreds of thousands if not millions of people hostile to the West. Yes I agree security probably could've been better, but a mob of several hundred thousand people intent on doing harm against a stationary target is probably not going to end well regardless. Embassies are also just that ... embassies. Not military bases and even US military bases have been constant targets of attacks in the Middle East.

3.) She beat Bernie with almost 4 million votes, and no, those aren't "rigged" votes. If she had that power, why not use it in 2008 when she lost to Obama by a hair? Bernie Sanders simply didn't break through with minority voters, the way Obama did in 2008, and Obama *barely* beat Clinton in 2008 (in fact Clinton beat him in the popular vote). Clinton didn't need to rig the vote against Sanders ... he ran a good campaign, but ultimately wasn't good enough to win. Fact is too there are plenty of wealthier Democrats too that have no interest in the USA being overly socialist and getting taxed to death. Clinton is much more reasonable economically.

4.) I've seen that but a lot of that has been debunked. If there was even a shred of truth, Fox News and the Republicans would pounce all over it, they have been dying for Clinton to really screw up in any way for 20+ years now.

Also Clinton is not the one who has 50-100+ members of her own party signing a petition saying she's too dangerous to be president like Trump has going on the Republican side. No Trump is not just "saying mean things", many people in his own party are saying he's grossly incompetent and shouldn't be allowed near the White House.

That is what you get when you only get four hours of sleep a night.

I have faith Trump will win the Commander In Chief position and do great things for America.

The debates will be the eye opener - guaranteed.

The fact that he's been making excuses to get out of the debates, I wouldn't hold my breath. The man is so out of touch, he's going to bury himself.

I believe he should just debate himself.  He already talks about himself in the third person.

Hilary is a good debater, even Obama said he couldn't keep up with her at first and took some lickings against her before he found his footing, Trump better be ready.

Clinton's weakness is she's not a great/charismatic public speaker, that's for sure, but what she lacks there she definitely makes up for by being razor sharp in debates, policy issues, having a very disciplined, focused campaign structure.

Trump knows this too, which is why he's already trying to weasel out of debates, he wants no piece of that.

I actually started reading through Hillary's emails.  I was bored to tears.  About 90% of it was simply links to AP stories.  So far, the most damning thing to have come out is that one of her aids was asked by one of the Clinton's campaign to arrange a meeting.

He just isn't up to snuff to run a country. He wants to hide from debates, degrade Americans that have worked and sacrificed much just to serve it, and he's a flip flopper who says one thing and means another. That's a psychopath. If you can't handle campaigns without getting frustrated, how can we expect him to run an entire continent for a single day? It's just insane!

Sounds promising.
