Here I was really hoping to God that we would finally see this game's Zelda.

Based on what is seen.
I can come up with the hypothesis that the halfway destroyed Temple of Time was attacked by the Guardians, long since shut down and the only things that were left in tact was the right side of the Temple and a tall stone statue (I think) in the middle of the room with glowing lights.
I think that statue might actually be the Statue of the Goddess Hylia!
