Seeing as my favorite game of all time is Megaman X, and Capcom is 3rd party, I have to go with that one. Though Chrono Trigger is a damn good game. The best RPG ever made.

Nearly all my SNES favs are first/second party, but I think the third party game I had the most fun with was probably R-Type III: The Third Lightning. Fun space shooter, tough as nails, but with some pretty cool bosses and music.

Damn, that's tough as fuck. I'd say it's a four way tie between Final Fantasy VI, Chrono Trigger, Mega Man X and Super Castlevania IV. I just can't pick between these 4 amazing games.
