1989 Batman

If most people here were adults at that time, they would have been very appreciative of this movie. It really paved the way for comic book movies to really be taken seriously.

If that were true we wouldn't have had to deal with Batman Forever & Batman and Robin. I think Blade paved the way for comic book movies to be taken seriously. Then we got X-men and then Spider-man.

The sequels you are talking about had different directors, different lead actors and actresses.  Not really sequels, but even more proof of the impact Batman 1989 really had(even crap semisequels made big money).  When Batman 1989 came out, it was one of the top grossing movies of all time.  It was a big deal to mainstream audiences.  Blades total gross was less than $100 million and had more to do with Wesley Snipes at his peak popularity.  Even though I am a big fan of the Blade movie, its social impact was small.

It is near the end of the end....

Spider-Man 2!

Between Batman the Dark Night and Guardians of the Galaxy.

LOVED: Blade 2, Dark Knight, Kick Ass, Winter Soldier, Deadpool, Scott Pilgrim vs The World, Guardians, Iron Man 1, Unbreakable, Avengers, Super, Mystery Men, Oblivion,

TOP: Either The Fountain or Watchmen.

ANIMATED: Flash time paradox. Loved it.

EVERY GAMERS WORST NIGHTMARE...THE TANGLING CABLES MONSTER!

       Coffee is for closers!

:/ for me it has to be either Deadpool, V for Vendetta or one of the first two Iron Man movies (I'm biased towards RDJ and I acknoledge that). I still have Guardians of the Galaxy in my backlog that I need to watch. Probably tho the best one is one of the X-men ones, even if I'm not that big of a fan of X-men...Anyway I'm really looking forward to De. Strange and Black Panther, they have a good chance at becoming #1

The Dark Knight and Watchmen by far.

Superman 2 because back then, people expected idealistic heros. Superman 1 and Superman 2 weren't cynical. No brooding bullshit. They were uplifting and full of hope... which is everything Superman is suppose to embody.

That's why Superman as a hero is so damn boring.

To you. To me, it's why he's the greatest hero of all time. Opinions... we all have them.

If it counts the original live action Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles movie or Spiderman 2 would be the best super hero movies to me.
