That's cute of you. Why not make it like GT have generated almost no profit or revenue since 2014. Very arbitrary, but seems to fit your agenda.

I may be crazy because I didn't recognize it on your post.

2 years would make the series release in 30-50% less time than average. Considering Mario and GT profile of once or twice per gen and how much they hold their sales and interest like that I'm not sure it would add value releasing more often, but certainly it would also breath less new ideas and lead to faster fadigue. Forza already fatigued.

As i said, Forza overdid it, but GT is underdoing it. Say if there was a GT horizon or GT Arcade or GT drive club to hop with the main series, you'd have a new main entry every 4 years and a spin-off every 4 years. I don't think there would be any fatigue and the brand would regain it's exposure.

I do think this is where both GT and Forza have failed. Both have gone too far in the spectrum when theres a nice sweet spot in the middle.

How did that work out for Halo with Halo Wars, Halo Spartan assault/strike.
Actually GT sport is a spin off too, so it's already happening. Or is it a reboot.
Googling a bit, it seems GT sport is GT7 after all, a reboot. Dunno if it will become an evolving platform or if there will ge a GT Sport 2...

Wow, you're like a master at this debate thing.

I obviously picked 2013 because they was the last time we saw a GT game. I would have probably picked 2015 or 2016 if Polyphony could get a game on the market in a reasonable amount of time.

Based on the footage we've of GT Sport, it doesn't look ground breaking for the long development time.

Thanks for the compliment.

No, it seems like you picked 2013 so you could put GT6 against Forza 5, 6 Horizon 2 and 3. When GT Sports launch are you going to do a GT versus Forza since 2017?

Your opinion is they are underdoing, not that it's a fact.

Do you think you would like a Mario 3D alternating with a 2D year in and year out or every 2 years? Do you think Nintendo would sell even more?

The thing is GT never gone anywhere, they were always a franchise with big time lapse between them. And we don't need a GT horizon, (GT arcade is already part of GT anyway). We had motorstorm and other franchises exclusive to PS to cover for that. We don't need everything to be spin-off of GT.

Lol apparently driveclub has no identity. I'll tell you it's identity. It's the spiritual successor to project Gotham racing.

Driveclub's identity is a pretty but average racer. Nothing more than that.

One of the best racers this gen with the best post launch support of any racer by a country mile.  pgr succesor and I love it.

What is a fact is that sales from GT5 to GT6 dropped more than 50%. The rest we are conjecturing.

I picked the latest GT release. Not sure why you can't grasp that.

I'm sure GT Sport will do better than Forza 7, but will the GT releases become more frequent after that? Again, I don't think Sony is happy Polyphony spends so much time on their releases. Espeically when something like GT6 was a minor upgrade and GT Sport couldn't make the release date.

Yes, my opinion isn't a fact. But the history backs up my opinion that they have been like this and not that they got like this. You don't need to thank.

But I'm yet to see the backing of your opinion that increasing the release pace would be better, the decrease in sales would show otherwise that they need bigger gaps and more content.

Well why them not picking Forza 6 versus GT 6 then and only comparing latest release? Or all Forza versus all GT, or all gen 7 forza versus GT? We know why. You want to get a cut were Forza sales were better.

It could, I don't fell the need to more frequent releases, once every 3 years is quite enough. This game alone takes like 6 months of my gaming time or more.

You may think that, we never had any speach of Sony about the releases of GT to evaluate their satisfaction. Funny enough that the small upgrade that is GT6 add more content than Forza 5 did right? And if Sony is so concerned with it they may as well increase the staff of PD. But I guess they are satisfied with the strategy and margin it gets. They don't push ND around neither push PD.

Sony should be more concerned about the lack of releases of Sony Japan Studios.

Forza's annual strategy generated more revenue than GT6. I'm pointing out the advantage of more frequent releases. By the way, I only mentioned the annual strategy of Forza because you were boastng about GT6 sales and how it compares to other games in the genre.

ND puts out games faster than PD. They also create games that will generate more profits via remasters.

History backs up your opinion? The history says sales dropped more than 50%. So... try to understand that and how to fix it? Pretending there isn't a problem really is just ignoring it and hoping it goes away.

Both our opinions are opinions. Nothing but logic or conjecture to them. We use examples to draw paralels, but that is the point of a forum hm? I know you disagree, but the animosity you showed with the previous post was pretty unecessary.

The only logical question is how much % the drop did the PS4 casue.    Likely a large casue of it.

Gt sport unless totally nerfed comapred to what GT fans expect should eaily enough claw its way to ten million, PS4s more world wide sales will greatly benfit that.  Then its also the first GT of the gen, thsoe always do great.   PS4 user base is also desperate for a great racer.

Revenue is not profit.

Forza sales are quite disspointing and much of it is bundeling and sales.  Based on quality alone it should be double.  To me FH3 is easily goty.

They also have two large teams working contantly on it.

I wouldnd doubt it for a second GT is a hell of a lot more profitable.  The only logical business reasoning i can think of for Sony allowing PD and the nut job Kaz to go about thing as they have for so long is their profit margins must be some of the best if not the best from all sony devs.

We know Sony has no issue shutting devs down.  Good luck arguing agianst near 80 million sales form a single team, not a massive one at that.
