I tried it today, and I wasn't impressed at all. My disgust towards the horrible sixaxis analog sticks knows no bounds, so that doesn't help the game. It seemed to be random chaos or spawn camping in all of the servers I went to....

Am I playing this game wrong?

You'll find no spawn camping in the league games. The game is an acquired taste in many ways. Give the league a try before you get rid of your copy. There is a reason we keep coming back for more league action: it is because it works.

@episilon which servers/gametypes have you been playing?

I don't knnow of any good specific servers, so I was playing more or less in random places.  I played a deathmatch game (got booted from it because I was doing well) and the rest were ctf games....I think...

there are some rank-limited sony servers (sony servers will show up as blue in colour). try playing on those, it should help you get on your feet.

I personally find the Official 32player servers the funest, try some ctf on the blue servers when your ready to give it another go. edit: beaten by ameratsu :(

Try the 32 player blue rookie servers. Warhawk can be bewildering the first few times you play it. Play some games and find out how you want to play. Some folks just fight on the ground and others just fly. I personally go around knocking off the other teams bases and try to hold them until others spawn in. It ain't a pretty way to play but every team needs to keep some bases.

Spawn camping only really works in warhawk if your team is getting mauled and are forced back to one base. Remember you can respawn at any base held by your team.

Try the league, I had only played for 2 hours when I started with the league. It is harsh but ask the others who had only played a little before joining, you learn a lot in the league.

Before I forget don't mind dying a lot at the start it happened to us all. Well most of us. (Looking at certain league players) :)
