Why you promote piracy? there is no legal way to play your Wii U Discs on PC

As long as you own the games its legal, and rip from your own games.

And you make it sound like this is going to hurt Wii U sales? Wii U is already dead.

It ll still be a year or two before this emulator runs perfect, and by then nintendo sales of wii u will be so low as to be non exsistant.

This in no way hurts nintendo, and helps protect the games, so that 10-15 years from now when your Wii U is dead, you ll still be able to play the games.

And what if they brought and own them WiiU games?. How would they then be a thief?.

be honest with yourself.

most people probably don't even own the game in the first place.

Under that context you could never promote anything. I mean why promote the Wii U when people are stealing it out of the stores anyway? Why promote PCs at all when people only use it to play puirated PC games?

That's a pretty closed mindset and we should certainly be open about technologies instead of only focusing on negative implications.

You could argue that emulation doesn't cause any harm when it's really old games that could only be bought used but anyone that illegally emulates games that could very easily be found in stores or on the eshop is a fucking thief

Yeah because I'm pretty sure everyone that uses this is going to own the games they play

Wow...we still don't have PS3 and Xbox 360 emulators that work even half as good. Somebody had to have gotten a hold of some developmental hardware. 3D World and Mario Kart 8 look exactly how they should from what I can tell.

There are Wii U homebrew applications like title dumper which allow you to rip your games. That is perfectly legal in the U.S to do.

hey cool didnt know that, but i am 100% certain 99% of people wont use it this way

Same old talk, how many times do i hear that. Why i dont see those classics franchises coming back if emulators help to popularize and preserving said games? Like for example what happened with Konamis dormant franchises, did emulating Konami games brought back their old franchsises?

It is hurting Nintendo period, and like always its the japanese stuff people want to emulate or fan translate etc.

Awesome work by the team. I am hoping this will be perfect like PCX2. I don't have to buy Wii U. Will rent all Wii U games. Looks really cool.

This emulator is gonna be very inestable for years and without the gamepad some games will need serious tweaks, so you can sit and wait to play properly all those terrible Nintendo games you suddlenly want to "rent".

I don't think there's that big push for PS360 emulators. PS3 architecture is extremely complicated to emulate, and most of the 360 games can be obtained on PC (or in the sure-to-come 360 emulator on W10). On the other hand, Nintendo games can only be obtained on Nintendo hardware, so...

You know it deserves the GOTY.

Not everyone who owns any console or device that can play games also buy them legit.

The is more people then you think that uses emulation legally.

Its like this, as a gamer if you feel bad about piracy your still going to feel bad about using piracy with emulation.

If your a gamer who is ok with piracy, well then you most likely already have your console hacked/modded to play pirate games.

Remember by the time any emu comes along the console is in pretty much in every case already been hacked as this is what helps with emulation.

Also by the time an emu becomes playable its always mostly near the end or at the end of a console generation, where it really doesnt have any impact other then maybe make that user want to buy the next console to play newer versions of them games they enjoyed.

Or they'll just wait for the nx to get emulated and steal the new versions too

Absolutely this.

Then there wouldn't be an incentive to emulate them in the first place.

It's safe to assume that those people emulate them because they simply don't want to pay for them. None of that "safe rare games for the future" bla bla.
