The part I struggle with is someone saying they're a woman trapped in a man's body, or vice-versa.  How is that possible, I ask myself?  I don't feel like a man trapped in a man's body.  I don't have a "Man Cave".  I don't "hang out with the guys".  I have male friends and female friends.  I have strong and powerful female friends, and loving and nurturing male friends.  It seems to me that someone who believes they're a woman trapped in a man's body (or vice-versa) is making some assumptions about what defines a man's personality, or a woman's, that I don't ascribe to.  And these assumptions are actually pretty bizarre, teetering towards hurtful, as they seem to be based in stereotypes rather than in an openness towards both men and women each being capable of the full range of human intellect and emotion.

And you were gonna talk about science. Heh. *smirk*
Lolol joking aside, the current theory on this is that your brain has a blueprint in it to look at, so you feel comfortable with your body. For example, the blueprint says that you have two arms and two legs, and roughly tells you how they are "supposed" to work. This is why you can feel pain in a limb you've lost (phantom pain, I think its called?), because your body is still looking at that blueprint and expecting there to be a limb. Its this blueprint that has been mixed up, and your "male" brain (or simply, male blueprint, not the entire brain) is expecting a penis, but your female body does not have one. So you feel weird.

Simplified explanation, no sources, but yeah. That's what I've read. :)

Lots of trans people often become very stereotypical versions of their new/intended/real gender after the transition, and yeah, that's a bit odd to me as well.

I have a friend who said this: "There are no trans people, its just confused guys who want to wear dresses and stuff, and need an excuse to be accepted in society (and same thing for women but with other examples)." I think thats wrong. Then again, who REALLY knows? Life is complicated.

Wow, that's actually a very good explanation for people who struggle with understanding what being transgender meams or how transgender even "works". I've never heard someone use that way of explaining it before, but it's actually incredibly accurate.

In regards to trans people tending to lean toweards the stereotypes of their gender, consider this: society tends to tell us that men are the protectors, therefore stronger, more masculine. Men are supposed to act a certain way, the same way that women are supposed to be prettier, care more about their looks, be caregivers and compassionate and more emotional. So if, as you say, the blueprint tells you that you're supposed be a certain gender but your body doesn't align with that blueprint, you'll make the transition to be more masculine (for an ftm), stronger, etc., Or more feminine, prettier, passionate, etc. (For mtf)

That's not to say that every transperson follows stereotypes, for most transmen and women, it's not even a conscious choice, it's just them finally being able to be their gender, and being who they are. Everyone is different of course, whether they are trans or not. I've met trans people that don't follow typical stereotypes, but that doesn't make them any less of who they are.

I hope that explanation helped a bit. Also, it's very important for trans people to 'pass' socially to avoid potential risks for harm. For those who don't know, pass means that a transperson can go out in public without anyone suspecting them. :)

Considering nobody can ever change their sex fully, no, I wouldn't. A man can never had a real, fully functional vagina. He's always going to be genetically a male no matter how much he mutilates his body. Being that I'm heterosexual, I wouldn't be into a man.

It's not necessarily a given that there are two di-polar opposite genders, never the twain shall meet.  There are people who for all appearances appear to be male, but don't have a Y chromosome.  Ditto there are people who appear to have female sexual parts, but do have a Y chromosome.  There are children born that appear to have elements associated with men, and elements associated with women, and the doctors and families together have to make a decision on whether the child is going to be called a boy or a girl, and what surgeries (if any) are required to support that decision (and these arbitrary decisions can have major ramifications for the child's life).

Lke you, I'm a hetero male.  But the science is the science.  There's evidence of a gender spectrum, and (for your interest) your perspective appears to be at odds with that science.

I was born with an I.Q. that puts me in the category of genius. Am I bragging? No. As a matter of fact, I'd give anything in the world to be normal or in the normal range. I have lived my entire life feeling isolated from society because of this and for every advantage, there seems to be 10 disadvantages to go along with it. This is one such issue.

Unless you belong to the reported 1.7% who come into this world a part of the hermaphrodite community, you're born with a penis or vagina. In 98.3% of the population, you're male or female physically without any grey area. Gender identity is a neurological issue. How one feels inside is all based on the signals their brains are receiving etc.

So what is the difference between someone feeling they're a vampire and someone feeling they're a woman when they're physically a man? Simple. Society has decided to show sympathy to one group while mocking the other. Both cases are equal and should, imo, be treated with psychological evlauation followed by development of medication if needed due to serious cases such as suicidal thoughts etc.

Our capacity as humans on the whole is pretty bleak because we're ruled by group behavior and thought process. The few that can think for themselves are either shuned (due to again, group behavor and hive mentalily) or in such little number as to not matter.

Was gonna say the same thing. Lol. Just because you question your sexuality doesn't mean everyone else does. Don't push your shit on us.

Now questioning your sexuality is some kind of shit?

Most people question their sexuality in early ages, most people don't feel a clear atrtaction or repulsion for any of both genders untile they grow a bit, this is a psycological fact, that doesn't mean they are gay, and there is nothing wrong about it, in fact,  the more simpleton you are the less you are gonna question things like that, not something to be proud of.

Look man. All I'm saying is that the guy I quoted should not assume that everyone questions their sexuality because he does. It is some kind of shit, because he's pushing his personal experiences on everyone because he assumes he's right.

I bet the Wii U would sell more than 15M LTD by the end of 2015. He bet it would sell less. I lost.

I get it but, there has never been a moment in your life when you asked yourself if you could have sex with another man? Just in theory? Because I think that's all the OP is asking and that's something most people do.

Ok so you admit that I win?

You must be new here. Win what exactly?

Don't get fresh with me. I won the argument since you won't answer my question.

I love the input and effort you put into answering the questions.

You should be an author.

Care to elaborate?  This sounds a bit like "Some of my best friends are black/jewish/."  But if that's not what you're saying, I would be happy to understand what you are.

What do you mean by that?

Many people tend to make racist/sexist/asshole comments and back it up with, "some of my friends are (blank)"

Example:

Mike: Damn, most black people just go around raping and killing people

Jim: The hell Mike? No offense, but that's prejudiced.

Mike: What? nah. I have a bunch of black friends dude. Even my manager is black. How can I possibly be prejudiced towards blacks?

yes, not all conversations go like that, but it provides a general example.

What I mean is that I don't know what you meant when you said that you "have nothing against Transgenders" yet you "just can't empathize with certain aspects about them."  Why can't you empathize with a human being based on their sexual identiy?  What "certain aspects" are the problem?  Your comments are mysterious and confusing to me.

Not too many people understand the concept of transgenderism. I myself am confused when reading about it. I get how hermaphrodites work, but how can one become a different gender just because they think they are?

What seperates one from becoming transwhatever? If becoming transgender is fine, would transage(or even transspecies) humans be supported or mocked?

Not arguing or being sarcastic. In all honesty, I just cannot wrap my head around transgenderism

There we go- problem solved. A simple question by OP was answered by 4 words.

Now you can happily be heterosexual and ignore the thread.

I can only imagine that would get you even fewer replies to an already very sensitive subject you have here, can't imagine everyone so happily and freely giving this info out on the internet.

Well if these comments are truly honest and they can't put themselves in the position of fucking some of these ones 10 Gorgeous Women (Who Were Born Male) - ODDEE , I their sexual experience comes to question. Dammit, there are depictions of Aliens that I'd fuck, completely different species and as I have polled in a thread here on VGC almost everyone on here would too. Bulma in DBZ super? Yes. The blue chick from Xmen in OG form. Hell yes. Number 3, 4 and 7 on that list. Oh damn, if theres two holes and no pole them yes, fuck yes.

Honnest answer : I find most of them repulsive, unpleasant. Only Roberta Close was kind of cute, but on low res pictures. Googling her (he ?), it depends on the pics, most of them I would have to be drunk. I'd prefer to go for a different species lol

I'm talking about my taste (or lack of), I can understand a bit what it feels to feel displaced, not in the right body or place, it's not something I'm making fun of, or I am against (if any right to).

Anyway:

1. Robert Close for a few seconds, on low res pics

2. No

3. No, this kind of "oh, by the way", it's gross

4. Yes, education, chromosomes, hormones, and more than anything else not being born into it.

5. No

6. No

7. No
