Its minecraft in space.... where everyone is one 1 server, and the map size, is millions of times bigger than anything in minecraft.

That should appeal to alot of people.

I mean look how well minecraft is doing, and thats basically just a sandbox.

This is minecraft in space, but with purpose (exploration & getting to the center of the universe).

It really isn't Minecraft in space though.

Minecraft is Lego the video game. It's focus is on being able to build and manipulate the world as you'd like.

NMS is an exploration based game that's focus is on being able to experience the world  as you'd like.

But the world is made up of small blocks, you can dig through, to find resources.

Which you use to craft with (stuff for your space ship)..

In some sense its kinda like minecraft.

I hope not. These kind of games with procedure gererated worlds and everything just dont offer a solid experience worthwhile of being GOTY. It can entretain you for ever like minecraft, but its a low excitement all the time, while a game like uncharted has you on the tip of your chair all the time.

It takes genuine talent to see greatness in yourself despite your absence of genuine talent.

For that, the game has to be better than Uncharted 4, Dark Souls 3, Deus EX MD and Final Fantasy XV

Not in the same year that Legion releases.

You got a legit chuckle from me right there.

OT: With all the other titles out this year and still due, I'm not really sure it will. It'll definitely win a few awards here and there but I don't see it straight up ebating out every single game and being "the" game of the year. Even then being GOTY doesn't always mean it will be that way for absolutely everyone.

Yes it could be a GoTY.

No its not....

This is Minecraft in space

Damn I forgot I actually have that in my library. I can't wait to see the end result of the game, though I bet it will get dunked on for looking like Minecraft and being "blocky".

It seems to be doing very well with Steam user reviews atm not sure how the press will take it.

However watching that vid makes me really want to try getting back into it now. It seems to of come on a lot.

I want to give it a shot but I want to wait till it;s finished and I also have my time sucked up playing Starbound with a few friends as well as Fallout 4, Ark, heroes of the storm etc.

I'm guessing the press will be harsh with it, most MC type clones haven't really faired all that well.

As reviews seem to be going, e can asume it wont win now.

Lol really, never had a chance

So far It's a great game but not GOTY candidate. I'm only scratching the surface at the moment and Hello Games will have a few major updates before the years out, so there's that.

This right here sums it up. Much better came out, or will come out.
