I just hope the US don't dominate the medal table. Russia could have put up a good fight but alas it wasn't to be. Probably will just be between the US and China for most medals. So... #TeamChina

US usually dominate. They have the population and resources to produce the best in many sports... shooting is second nature to american's though. Remember, only the russian track and field athletes are not there, that really is only 5-7 golds when the winners usually get 40 plus, Russia may be down to 15 instead of early 20s.

So not only women get to have the first event, football, even two days before the opening and one day before men, but they also get to be awarded with the first medal of the olympics just as well...

This is it, I can't stand this oppression anymore, I haveto fight for all my brothers without a voice in this sexist event ruled by women privilegies.

I liked the opening ceremony, it was way inferior to London and Beijing (those were completely epic) but it was still pretty enjoyable.

The olimpic flame looks pretty cool btw

This road race is ending oddly, 10km left and loads of them just fell during the downhill. Majka is going to win it though, well deserved. EDIT: Might have spoken too soon.

Ever notice how constantly the World Record for swimming events get broken? I mean like all the time... we happened again in the heat for 100m breaststroke. Adam Peaty from GB at 57.5 seconds. Sometimes I wonder why... do they all have big feat?

I'm thinkig rock climbing and skateboarding will be  added in the next Olympics.

Well it's good in a way, if world records were unbeatable then it would be kind of boring

It would be kinda funny if he broke the world record in the heat but then went on to lose in the final though.

I'm sure some of the totally legit East Germany records are unbeatable :)
