Battery will have to be huge, probably like 10000 MaH if not slightly more ... good thing is batteries are dirt cheap, even at retail you can buy a battery that size for like $25 if you shop around, meaning the price for Nintendo ordering in millions would probably be under $15 for that part.

Now show me the games.

So nothing new then?

PC Specs: CPU: 7800X3D || GPU: Strix 4090 || RAM: 32GB DDR5 6000 || Main SSD: WD 2TB SN850

It's been rumored multiple times, we still have absolutely no info on it other than its coming in March and that they have stated that it's a home console.

people, a handheld with this type of graphics is unbelievable.

And at an affordable price? dear god.

Yeah I agree though I do wonder what spec range it runs at in actual portable mode (as in not plugged into a wall). Anything above a PS3 for a portable is fantastic though.

Wasn't the PS Vita around the power of a PS2?

This is a huge upgrade for the handheld market

When they say "it won't appeal to PS4 fans", I think to myself "how do they know that"?
I mean even knowing what the system is, if they're getting 3rd party support from Activision, Warner Bros, Ubisoft, etc then it has to at least be around XB1 in performance and the whole ability to play both classic (but also new) Nintendo console games, along with staples like Pokemon and other previously and only handheld level games on one device could very well appeal to PS4 fans.

Personally I used to game mostly on Nintendo systems, sure I had an XBox, but it wasn't until PS3 that I got into the Playstation console or even handheld ecosystem.
At heart I'm a PS4 fan now, but a piece of me still wants Nintendo to make games for me and others like me.

If NX is a handheld around the XB1 in terms of performance, that has a good volume of solid exclusives then I'll be interested.
The only thing Nintendo really needs to do outside of making a system that is good value for money, is actually make some exclusives targeted towards the western 3rd party audience and market the system so that people know what it is and what it has to offer.
Sure a decent online network would also be very important, but really there are still a fair few PS4 fans that would happily buy a Nintendo system if it just had exclusives that appeal to them.

If anything when you look at PS4, it has games like Tearaway, Knack, Ratchet & Clank, others like Gravity Rush, The Last Guardian, Horizon, Ni No Kuni 2 and others on the way, which I would argue are to some degree similar to the style of stuff Nintendo makes.

Nintendo should be trying to target the PS4 fans, because they're the biggest audience of console gamers out there.

To be honest a setup like this wouldn't be too bad at all

NX - Portable Mode (Running on Battery Power) = 350-400 GFLOPS, can run PS4 ports at 960x540 resolution, Wii U level+ games at 720p.

NX - Home Mode (Home Dock Actively Cools Unit) = Full 700 GF- 1 TFLOP, can run PS4 ports at 720p or 900p without much fuss.

NX - Supplemental Compute Device Mode (SCD adds second Tegra X2 processor to work in unison, doubles horsepower to 1.5 TFLOP-2 TFLOP) = Can Run games at 1080P. Optional add-on.

Don't forget that the shape of it will impact pricing as well.

The thicker the battery, the less expensive. The skinnier it is, the more expensive it is.

Also, it won't need ports like other portable batteries, so that'll slash the price down as well

I am sorry but its not. The PSP and PSV came out while the PS2 and PS3 qere still Sony's main console. They pretty much jump a generation ahead and catch up hardware wise with Sonys handheld trend.
