Forums - Gaming Discussion - FPS on Console (Doom)

So I have been playing FPS games exclusively on PC my entire life, I have tried for a few minutes and console and I couldnt handle it a few years back. But as I am growing older, I dont play much on the PC anymore because it's comfy in my couch hehe. But I really really want to play Doom and found it at a very very good price for my PS4 but havnt pulled the trigger yet because I am unsure if I am going to enjoy it.

Are there any others who has gone from PC to console and enjoyed it? Because I am afraid I wont and that it will take away from the experience

Try this maybe? It's a bit pricey tho.

Edit: nvm didnt read op properly. You said you wanted to game on couch, i guess this wont help.

I like Third person shooters on console but FPS is just not my cup of tea, the accuracy on the PC is just much better and the higher FPS also really help making the experience smoother if you have a fast PC, I would play Doom on the PC, since its not just a FPS but also a fast-paced one.

In the beginning, it felt weird and "wrong" for me to play FPS with a controller as I had played FPS with mouse and keyboard my whole life.

But if you accept that you'll suck in your first 50-100 matches, you'll eventually feel the enjoyment of getting better.

I enjoyed Borderlands, Doom, Bioshock, PvZ: Garden Warfare, COD 4: Modern Warfare and other shooters more on consoles than PC.

The only FPSs I've played on PC were Doom I (shareware version only), Doom II, Quake I, Crysis, and Crysis Warhead. I've been playing FPSs on console since the N64 days with GoldenEye, Perfect Dark, and Turok, and I've played a ton of Halo since Halo CE released back in 2001, plus I've played many other FPS games since then, most recently Doom 2016 on the PS4. There's been a ton of FPS action to enjoy on consoles. Having had played games on the genre on both PC and console, I honestly have always preferred using a gamepad. PC gaming in general just never did anything for me, and mouse & keyboard just never felt comfortable. I've just always preferred consoles.

Nothing wrong with moving from PC to console, i am a hardcore PC gamer since 1996 & i play FPS games on consoles because it's comfy in my couch or bed.

At moment i'm playing any PC games with a steam controller & HDTV.

Is a threesome marriage legal in the state you live in?

Once you get used, controllers these days are awesome for FPS and they keep improving (See Xbox One Elite Controller).
