If Sony doesn't get beast specs in this box, there is no reason for it to exist, 4tf won't do with same CPU won't cut for 1080p 60fps maxed out, maybe 30fps, there is no reason for Neo to exist IF specs aren't beastly, it needs that 5.5tf and a new CPU with more Ram for better games and support for true SSD speeds imo.

Not saying it will come with SSD but needs to support those amazing speeds on loadings I can get on a pc.

They don't want to announce it too soon before the actual release. The industry has changed in that way. Today people expect a product to be available fast after an announcement. You can thank Apple for that. Plus, when Sony officially announces Neo with all detail, it would surely be a bummer for PS4 sales. Right now only well-informed people know the thing exists. The majority has no clue at all. But an official announcement would make some noise and many people would likely wait for the new thing to release. So if they show it like 6 months before release, PS4 sales could take a serious hit.

I think we will see an announcement sometime later this year and the release will follow just weeks after that, at the very least in the US.

It's possible no neo this year.

Thru could be going for a price cut instead and either a new slim model or just a regular ps4 model that's cheaper to make.

I'm intrigued though because we know psvr is coming,
But we don't know when the neo and slim or possible new model releases.
