I've been looking to start watching a new series, gotta give this a shot!! I'm a big fan of the 80s culture

It's certainly up there with the best of the Netflix shows and was a very nice surprise. Looking forward to (hoping for) season 2, very interested to see what they do with this world.

Seen only two episodes but absolutely love it so far, been too busy to watch the rest, hopefully I can sneak in one or two episodes today!

Yeah, the Upside-Down world is really similar to Silent Hill. I thought about it the first time they talked about it.

There are so many influences actually. There's a lot of Stephen King in the show too. Hell, there's an episode called "The Body" XD. They make no apologies about it, and that's great.

I was right with The Thing and Silent Hill then, give me my cookie, I earned it.

Fun show and glad to see its well received but its a bit too light on substance for me. Story is pretty much a copy of everything from Firestarter to FEAR. There isn't an original shot/character/word in the script

I think the thing most people miss about this show when they talk about concepts and details, is the atmosphere.

I feel like there is definitely a difference in opinion about the show depending on whether you are right or left-brain.
