Forums - PC Discussion - If my PC can run Resident Evil 5...

then why can't it apparently run Resident Evil 4 Ultimate edition? I seriously want to know.

Maybe it's allergic to quality video games?

It can play Metal Gear Solid, so it's not that.

Lets see:

Minimum Requirements Resident Evil 4 Hd/Ultimate
Core 2 Duo E6600 2.4GHz
Athlon II X2 220
GeForce 8800 GTS
Radeon HD 4850
2 GB
DX 9
15 GB

Resident Evil 5 PC:
CPU: Intel Pentium D Processor or AMD Athlon 64 X2
RAM: Windows XP (512MB) / Windows Vista (1GB)
OS: Windows XP: Required, Windows Vista Recommended
Video Card: VRAM (256MB) / DirectX9.0c/Shader 3.0 NVIDIA GeForce 6800 series ATI Radeon HD 2400 Pro

Seems like the requirements for Resident Evil 4, since it is a remake, are higher, so it makes sense if your pc is slower then the requirements you wouldn't be able to play it, maybe post your specs with the post :P

How do I check those other specs? I only know how to check my processor and display adaptors.

Because it's ultimate, duh.

If you demand respect or gratitude for your volunteer work, you're doing volunteering wrong.

You could try lowering the res and graphics quality. I'm sure you've already tried that though :P

Also if you're using an AMD GPU you could download its Catalyst Control Centre (Only Works on Windows 7 from my experience). In some games I've seen as much as a 10 fps boost which helps if previously the game was running in the low 20's.

As a senior high school student, I'm too poor.
