That's probably the score I'd give it as well. Great action scenes, fun dialogue, but overall poor pacing and premise.

The Joker was definitely the stand-out for me, and he was barely in it. He reminded me more of the animated series' Joker, rather than the more serious Nolan one. Harley and Deadshot were interesting, but overall I wasn't attached to most of the cast.

Probably my biggest issue with the movie is how easy the villain was able to create the conflict. After all this talk the leader woman was giving about being able to control these villains, it seemed like she left a gaping hole that the magic woman was able to exploit. I mean, you know she can teleport anywhere in the world, why wouldn't you be monitoring her more closely than just leaving the soldier dude with her in a hotel room?

Spoiler talk

Well she had no way of knowin gthat enchantress could have a brother that would stop the killing of her heart being stabbed. Without that, Enchantress would have been dead moment she betrayed her.

Jared Leto's joker = every Jim Carrey performance.

You haters are funny.

Not only is Jesse Eisenberg's Luthor, Jim Carrey, but so is Jared Leto's Joker now?

I only read the bolded part, trying to avoid spoliers.

But I couldn't agree more, I have no idea why people insist on saying Lex Luthor from BvS is just another joker, because of the long hair? Please...

Watched yesterday with my boyfriend. We thought the movie was "meh". I'm disappointed.

I share these sentiments, it was the third act, it just makes the movie so meh, and this becomes the worse movie I seen this year. I usually only pick movies I would enjoy and well now this is basically the only one I did not like.

Jim Carrey played The Riddler in Batman Forever.  That's what many people feel Eisenberg's portrayal of Lex Jr is a carbon copy of.

Some characters are great. Others not so much. I personally didn't like this Joker portrayal. The screenplay and general structure of the film is hands down terrible. It's fun at times, but thats all it has going for it, so i gotta say the critics are spot on on most of their views.
Its one of those films that you can enjoy if you take out your brain and leave out of the theatre. otherwise the general plot seems stupid.

The most disappointing thing about the movie was the action. It felt very generic; hit, punch, shoot, more shooting, etc. There was no teamwork involved and was something seen a million times before. The last fight showed how useless most of the characters were.

Just back from seeing this today... holy fuck that was bad, when we talked about rating it after seeing it all I could think was... this wasn't a movie, I can't rate it out of 10 because it was a trailer gone wrong....

It sounds so odd to even think this... but had Will Smith not been in the movie I would well have walked out from it, was just so tiresome, first hour of the film was just like a trailer.

The whole thing should have been broken down into separate movies I think there seemed to just be too much cutting going on taking tiny clips of massive events and presenting them in the form of a boardroom meeting

Marvels universe works because they took time to establish each of the characters so then when you have a movie where they come together you already know how many of the characters react to scenes and you can then judge the new characters being added in because you know the background of the existing characters.

Take Scarlet Witch in Civil War, she is a part of the Avengers and each of them wants to mind her from the Media/Herself Stark thinks what is best for her is to keep her locked up in the tower basically because he loves control, Vision aids Stark in doing so because he is loyal to Starks ideals and is comprised of the jarvis AI, Capt wants her to be able to be free to do as she pleases because America! but the thing is you can get a feeling for the new characters as they are introduced because they are done so against personality's which we know already.

Suicide squad felt like a bunch of clips of characters we barely get 5-10 minutes with all thrown on the floor and you could eat up what you want from it, or just walk away and leave them there, the film just didn't care. Slipknot was featured in the film to show that the collars worked and that Capt Boomerang would use his teammates to test dangerous things (although this was shown in a boardroom flashback also)

Smith was incredible though, really shocked how much I liked his role in this, although his scene with the Bat his outfit.... chaps... leather... I was expecting Wild Wild West to start playing... sadly it didn't.

I watched it. Not great but not bad. Worth watching. Would have preferred no magical powers bs but whatever.

Without a trip to wiki!

What was the name of the Witches Brother, as in the character who was super powered enough to return her to full strenght even without her heart. Pretty much primary villain of the film, what was he called?

Also .... he absorbed hits from tanks... but died to a bomb which detonated deep underground from him. Just saying.
