I saw Suicide Squad last night, and I would say it is a solid 7/10.

That's probably the score I'd give it as well. Great action scenes, fun dialogue, but overall poor pacing and premise.

The Joker was definitely the stand-out for me, and he was barely in it. He reminded me more of the animated series' Joker, rather than the more serious Nolan one. Harley and Deadshot were interesting, but overall I wasn't attached to most of the cast.

Probably my biggest issue with the movie is how easy the villain was able to create the conflict. After all this talk the leader woman was giving about being able to control these villains, it seemed like she left a gaping hole that the magic woman was able to exploit. I mean, you know she can teleport anywhere in the world, why wouldn't you be monitoring her more closely than just leaving the soldier dude with her in a hotel room?

Deadpool is one of the best super hero movies ever made, definitely top 3.

I describe myself as a little dose of toxic masculinity.

I also haven't seen Suicide Squad yet. I'm hearing mixed reviews from people I know who've actually seen it, which means some are enjoying it. One person said he only finally decided if he enjoyed it or not on the second viewing, which is kind of interesting (and the verdict was that he did enjoy it). In contrast, Deadpool got universal and immediate praise from people I know who saw it.

Suicide Squad is a fun mindless summer flick with some obvious problems. I enjoyed seeing it, but it's far from the best movie I've ever seen. It's even far from the best DC movie I've ever seen. 7/10 is fair.

A no star cast Ghost Busters film and a no star cast Suicide Squad have both flopped in ticket sales and critical reviews. No star films usually bomb in ticket sales and critical reviews.

Suicide Squad has one of the biggest box office openings ever. That said, the theater was empty when I seen it today. I think the falloff is gonna be catastrophic.

I think some of the reviews are justified, while flashy and entertaining at times, much of the plot, characterisation and structure of the film was a bit off, some of it a mess. I'd say it was alright but that's not a good thing, films shouldn't be alright.

Hmm, pie.

I was honestly about to say the same thing. They have literally some of the most iconic characters ever created at their disposal and they are making movies I do little more than just make it through. And I've grown up reading DC comics ad watching the cartoons, and it's sad that a lot of these characters are being represented in a live action film for the first time in a long time and some for the first time ever and it's pretty much just watchable.

Jared Leto's joker = every Jim Carrey performance.

Spoiler talk

Well she had no way of knowin gthat enchantress could have a brother that would stop the killing of her heart being stabbed. Without that, Enchantress would have been dead moment she betrayed her.

You haters are funny.

Not only is Jesse Eisenberg's Luthor, Jim Carrey, but so is Jared Leto's Joker now?
