Week 1 was the trap game. The Cowboys lost it because they couldn't finish drives and had to settle for field goals. In week 3 the Cowboys beat the Bears, so I don't see why you would have to worry much about winning against the 49ers who are a similar crap team with an inept offense. Bryant won't play, but Dallas still has the best O-line in the league, a good rookie RB, a good rookie QB and decent receiving options in Beasley and Witten. No Dez means little to no big plays, but the Dallas offense is built to move the chains consistently. Meanwhile, the 49ers defense has given up an average of almost 30 points per game. That sounds pretty bad, but when you remove week 1's shutout against the Rams (which ultimately meant nothing because the 49ers are now 1-2 while the Rams are 2-1), then the average rises to over 40 points for the last two games which is damn bad. All in all, that's the kind of stuff where the 49ers need a turnover differential of at least +4 to win the game. The Dallas offense would have to Fitzpatrick. I don't see that happening. |
