Can anyone do me the favor of explaining why exactly some analysts think the Jaguars are going to be anything but hot garbage again this year? Is it the stats they manage to wrack up due to garbage time starting halfway through the first quarter? Or do they genuinely just mistake Blake Bortles for Ben Rapistburger?

They play in the AFC South, they actually looked halfway decent at points last year, and they've got the 8th easiest schedule in the NFL this year (based on last year's records). I don't expect them to be amazing, but they could very well go .500 or so with how easy their competition is.

Heh. Sounds like the 2015 Panthers!

I will participate this year. Hopefully I don't embarrass myself.

Guys, guys, guys!

I did a mock draft to see how that fantasy football stuff works, but late in the draft it hit me: What happens if a team is on a bye week, but you have no backup for this position? For example, I only drafted the Seahawks defense, so when they have their bye, would I be not able to field a defense for my fantasy team during that week?

Also, what's the name of Green Bay's kicker? Crosby has a 0 for his fantasy projection, so apparently he is a free agent and has yet to sign with any team for 2016.

Everyone has a bye week eventually Rol. It all evens out

The roster's bench has six spots. Theoretically, you can have a backup for every position (QB, RB, WR, TE, K, DEF). What happens if somebody has no backup?

I've never played before but my understanding is that you can drop and pick up players throughout the season on a waiver system, so you should always be able to fill a position if needed

Makes sense, but that also means that not much thought needs to be put in the draft. It's just a nice little bonus game to see who will pick Antonio Brown first.

Anyway, if our league's draft happens later today, I might not pass on Tom Brady as an 11th round pick because his suspension overlaps with the bye week of my first QB.

I wouldn't say so. All the best players will get picked up in the draft, so it's definitely important. Especially since most of those guys will be undropable players. You do have to make the draft count.

I usually just pick a defense/kicker off the waiver wire when their bye weeks come around. By that time I'm comfortable dropping someone on the bench or the defense/kicker i drafted in the first place.

I also think an 8 team league is too small. 10 teams is the ideal size imo.

:O wait the draft for our fantasy league already took place? Damn I thought it was later today.

I'm pretty sure it's in an hour isn't it?
