My jaw dropped when I heard that thinly-veiled incitement to violence. A presidential candidate alluding to the assassination of his rival? What country is this?

#MakeAmericaGreatAgain.

Things are going to be nuts if hes elected president lol.

He's made some awful statements but this might be the most unnerving. I really hope the secret service is on high alert for the next three months.

How is this sad excuse for a human being polling at 40%? I've never been more embarrassed to be an American than during this election cycle.

In NO way did he incite violence ...

Love it when people take Trump out of context just to make themselves feel so smug ...

the context was this:

Trump spoke about a hypothetical scenario in which Hillary already won the presidency and she would appoint supreme court justices and nobody in the crowd could stop that .. but apparently there is a way for 2nd amendment supporters ? and how would they do that if she already was elected president?

One of my favorite quotes of lately.

The former head of the CIA, retired Gen. Michael Hayden

"Hayden added: "You're not just responsible for what you say. You are responsible for what people hear.""

When running for PRESIDENT of the united states - that abolutely applies. If you can't put enough thought into your statements to reailze what it sounds like to others - you need to hire people that can.

You are running for the highest job in the land, and the one with the most power. Statements like that can only be one of two things.

If he was serious - he is a sociopath. If he isn't serious - he isn't competent to be president. It is as simple as that.

You have to be aware of what you are saying, aware of what people are hearing -and you can't write it off as a joke. This isn't class president, there is the actual US president.

PLEASE point to WHERE in that statement Donald Trump has made a direct threat to his political competitor otherwise the media or you and others don't have a case, it's as simple as that ...

This demonization of Trump has gone too fucking far it's almost as if a child that has done nothing gets automatically ostracized by everyone ...

Hate by an entire group is far more disgusting and conceited than hate by a single man. I used to think that Trump's overly vocal critics were level headed on the inside but now I see them for what they truly are, a bunch of monsters ...

Trump keeps getting more support because they keep sympathizing with his case but also for the fact that they too are denied by the other side ...

"If she gets to pick her judges, nothing you can do, folks. Although the Second Amendment people, maybe there is" - Donald Trump

Its there in black & white.

Its not taken out of context.

That too me sounds like hes saying "my voters, you dont like her? you can do something about it, you have guns"

Seems to me like Hilary is a sociopath. That compassionate front she puts up...

I must have missed what Trump has said but WHERE EXACTLY did HE encouraged them to use their guns ?!

Hilary is elected to be president.

Shes about to pick out her surprime justice.

Your a angry Donal Trump voter, with your 2nd amendment right to carry fire arms.

You dont want to see hilary elect a surprime justice (who might want tighter gun laws).

"maybe you can do something about it" (because you carry a gun)

That doesnt sound like saying people can just kill her if they dont like her?

Donal Trump made a horrible joke.

Probably. I think quite a few politicians probably are though. I think it's a profession that's so rigged that only certain kinds of personalities can survive in it. Regular people would just hate it and leave.

Problem is Trump didn't allude that they CAN do something AFTER the election ...

"Hillary wants to abolish—essentially abolish the Second Amendment. By the way, if she gets to pick, if she gets to pick her judges, nothing you can do, folks. Although the Second Amendment people, maybe there is, I don't know,"

"The second amendment people CAN/WILL do something AFTER ELECTION" is FUCKING DIFFERENT from "although the second amendment people, maybe there is, I don't know" ...
