Really? The lowered the radius? That seems unnecessary.

I have a feeling the 3-step system is going to come back, they probably just want to remove it so it doesn't constantly stick like a thorn in people's sides as a broken feature until it returns.

Still though without any indication as to what direction they are in or how far they might be away from you, the nearby pokemon section is just an annoying part now which just teases you of what could be around the next corner... or after spawning behind you. The whole feature should just be removed if they want to not annoy players with a broken feature I think.

Yeah I understand your point, even so I like to at least have a general idea of what's around me and what could pop up instead of walking around expecting a Snorlax when instead all I get are Caterpies

But is it not more annoying seeing that there is a Snorlax about... but not having a clue where to walk for it, then it makes walking into caterpies even more annoying.

Nearby feature was always a pain in the ass. No matter if the thing was filled with 9 MewTwos "3 steps away" it was always gonna spawn Pidgey's on my ass lol. I'd be ok if they just removed the whole thing tbh
I'll have to try the app out today to see how I fare now. I only used PokeVision once to catch a Vulpix but I do admit it was handy to see where the rare spawns were. In fact I have them memorized, so unless they change I don't really need it anyhow.
At least we can edit our trainer's appearance, right guys? GUYS??????

There are apps, that use peer to peer data it seems. "Pokemap Live" (If you are worried about login data, just create new gmail account) is the one my friends seem to use, and one of my friend just got Ivysaur from it, and possibly porygon, he just ran out.

So they didn't repair the tracking system they just removed it, and on top of that they shut down apps like pokevison? Come on Niantec...

Gotta steer people towards microtransactions, right?

Actually by the way, Pokevision shut itself down. Nintendo or Niantec did not target it (The CEO said some comment, and Pokevision wants to respect that comment).
