Forums - Nintendo Discussion - Pokemon GO estimated to be generating $10 million every day

Pokemon GO is generating $10 million across iOS and Google Play each day, App Annie reports.

That’s just one tidbit from the market researcher’s latest report. It also goes into detail about other topics, such as how Pokemon GO is impacting other mobile apps. Based on App Annie’s data, Pokemon GO “has not had a sustained and meaningful impact on the daily revenue of other games on iOS and Google Play”, and there have not been “any meaningful declines in daily revenue for top-grossing games”.

App Annie views Pokemon GO as a positive element of expanding the mobile market. Not only has it “introduced and popularized the concept of AR”, but businesses are now starting to learn about the value of AR as in-game Lure Modules to boost foot traffic as well as consumer spend.

Great to hear it's not affecting the other games. Personally I feared it would do damage to them. Google and apple must be raking in the dough.

And whats more awesome is that you don't need to spend money to enjoy the whole game!!!

What other games? Other smartphone games?

yeah, small companies  and indie developers are not being affected so that's cool.

Niantic and TPC sure are getting alot of money out of this. Nintendo also to a much more minor degree.

Wonder if the game will get some healthy bumps when updates come out?

This is really unprecedented for a mobile game. Given that the top games in the world seemed to peak out at the $6 million ish mark.

The launch in Japan has really boosted revenues for this game. US + Japan, being two of the worlds biggest mobile markets, must be generating the majority of that $10m. Just imagine how much more they could make each day if the game was available in China & South Korea (The biggest & 4th biggest mobile games markets).

Nintendo is getting more money than Creatures and Gamefreak that's for sure, cause they get money independently and via the pokemon company. I wonder how successful is going to be the pokemon plus accessory, Nintendo is making that stuff too. I wonder if the NX will have a pokemon go deluxe edition or something like that!

China is the biggest huh? Well damn. Its insane and thougj it just released in japan for a week people told me it be dead by now in the US. :p

Keep us posted!

wow if that were to maintain that would be a LOTTT more revenue for the Pokemon Company... hopefully this compels them to finally get on their game with releasing home console Pokemon games. its ridiculous that we haven't seen any newer Pokemon Stadium games or even a Pokemon Open world sort of game. The NX needs something like that. whats even more frustrating to me is that a home console Pokemon game pulls in a LOT of casual fans. there's no excuse for not having a solid Pokemon home console game (and, no, Pokken Fighters of course doesn't count because that does not connect to the core Pokemon fans in terms of game type). rant over, sorry
