Forums - Sony Discussion - GT Sport Gets Sexy New Screenshots (Another Improvement)

During a presentation from Chinajoy, Gran Turismo Sport Producer Kazunori Yamauchi shared a few more screenshots of the game, on top of a few interesting details.

You can see the screenshots at the bottom of the post, but there is more. The presentation mentioned 60 mission challenges, contributing to a total of 115 campaign missions for the offline mode of the game. An earlier version of the presentation mentioned 62 mission challenges for a total of 117. Apparently, two mission challenges might have been removed.

Another interesting element are the slides detailing the game’s “Advanced matchmaking system.” It will rate players for Driver Class and Sportmanship points.

Driver Class will depend on group average rating, qualify results and race results. Sportsmanship points will indicate a driver’s manners on the track, and will decrease or increase depending on the factors that you can see below.

This is a system in some ways similar to what sim racers experience in iRacing, but it will be very interesting to see how it will perform in real gameplay, considering that the system in iRacing combines the action of human race officials with the automated mechanics.

I don't play racing games but that looks good. I haven't much kept up with this game but I thought it was supposed to not be looking good graphically?

This looks impressive to me. What am I missing?

2 things.

Months of development time and the fact that these are promotional pictures while the "not good looking experience" was hands on with the game.

Well, I've seen quite a lot of hands on experiences when the player said the game looked much better than what was first showed.
Gameplay videos show that as well.

Just because you have an opinion doesn't mean you are necessarily right.

Well, these are pretty much bullshots, as ALL racing games pretty much do nowadays when promoting them. These are not gameplay shots. The gameplay shown, that's what people have been complaining about. But as with any other game, it should look better and better as release draws near.

That "not good looking experience" was an earlier build of the game.

You could also stay up to date with it and go watch the newer videos. The first build shown was an early build, and they've since improved it.
