Never sell current gen hardware, be patient and just buy the PS4 when you can afford it.

No if its bad he should sell it.

Selling something he clearly needs(media apps) for pennies on the dollar isn't the best idea.

But if the financial situation is that tight, sacrifices need to be made I guess.

As soon as I saw this thread title, I knew the circle-jerk would be strong with this one. I was not disappointed. "Sony is objectively the best and perfect and everything they do is superior to every other competitor in existence, whether it's TV, games, or any other kind of entertainment." *applause* *applause*

The statement "can't own two consoles cause I'm busy" makes no sense to me. This *almost* sounds like troll bait, but I can't really tell. I'm also married and have a full-time job and I still play games and consume entertainment 20-30 hours per week average, often with my wife. It's really a matter of priorities, not that you "can't" own two platforms. This logic is just backwards and nonsensical from the start, so being more honest and/or clarifying what you mean would probably get you more realistic answers from the usual Sony circle-jerk around here. Like many other people said, why not just have both?

User was warned for this post ~ CGI

Lots of people over at GAF are stitching over to Vue simply because it cuts their monthly bills in half, sometimes more.

You can't switch now! Scorpio is like 3 times more powerful than Neo!!

I would say money but that is never a good argument.

So I'm gonna say the real argument which OP already mentioned. Comfort and convenience. First of all having more than one console in your living room clutters things up, it's simply not worth the hassle to have double the plastic lying around. Switching between consoles dealing with two different ecosystems all the time is annoying. You have to keep track two subscriptions, remember which games you bought on which console and all that crap.

It's not like you can't have 2 or more cconsoles, it's because you don't want more than one console. Nobody wants that additional clutter including you.

He asked for people's advice on whether a PS4 would make sense for him or not. Giving the information he provide it seems that a PS4 would indeed make sense for him. What did you want people to do?

Maybe his priorities don't call own for him to commit enough time to gaming to make two systems worth it. Did you think of that before jumping down his throat about it?

Also, you obviously don't know the OP very well if you think this is troll-bait.

Damn dude, just be a person for like two seconds and leave the "console wars" out of this.

Bet with Adamblaziken:

I bet that on launch the Nintendo Switch will have no built in in-game voice chat. He bets that it will. The winner gets six months of avatar control over the other user.

Well if you're into entertainment, maybe its better to get the Xbox One S? Could be useful if you have a 4K tv. But I see no reason to switch to the PS4, as the offering isn't really better.

Made a bet with LipeJJ and HylianYoshi that the XB1 will reach 30 million before Wii U reaches 15 million. Loser has to get avatar picked by winner for 6 months (or if I lose, either 6 months avatar control for both Lipe and Hylian, or my patrick avatar comes back forever).

The OP said he didn't have a 4k TV and that he doubts he will get one in a long time. He also said there are a lot of PS4 games (presumably exclusives) that he wants to play. The PS4 also has somewhat better graphics. Sounds to me like he wants to get a PS4, but went to VGC to get help to "justify" his decision, and in that case, I say go for it! If you have to ask "convince me to get X" (or anything of that sort) then chances are you want X to begin with, yor subconcious just wants to make you feel good in your decision to get X. So I think you want a PS4 @OP, and therefor I think you should get one

Yeah, it sounds like he wants PS4 for the exclusives and possibly the services it provides, especially Vue.
