Never sell current gen hardware, be patient and just buy the PS4 when you can afford it.

cant comment on apps because i dont use them. but as far as games go, well i personally see that PS4 has a superior lineup to the XB1, and the exlcusives that are lined up for the future arent even comparable, PS4 wins by a landslide.

however it all comes down to your own personal taste. though if i were you, i would atleast wait to see what the Neo would be like, and the slim as well.

Buy the PS4 bro. You won't regret it! ^^

Because you like multimedia functions maybe I would wait for PS Neo if you are to jump ship. It might play 4K videos and add features not found on current PS4. Imo both PS4 and X1 seem obsolete. Next year when PSNeo will be out for some time and Scorpio will be revealed I will trade my current console for one of the new entries depending which offers more.

Wii U has Netflix, Amazon, etc, and its worth noting that these can all be streamed through the Gamepad if you have to share precious screen time with a family member or loved one. Right now my wife is watching some trash reality show on TV, whilst I am watching orange is the new black on the Gamepad. If you can afford it, it might be an idea to keep your Xbox and get a Wii U to have alongside it, then you are covered in all bases with 3rd party stuff and Nintendo exclusives, unless you really want to play Playstation exclusives. I personally own a Wii U and PS4, gaming heaven.

I don't think I'm necessarily interested in the Neo. If I switch I want to go with a bargain rather than with the newest hardware. Plus, I don't have a 4k TV and I don't think I'll buy one for a long time. I'm thinking my switch would be around Black Friday. Sell my Xbox if possible before hand then get a good Black Friday deal with the PS4. But again, I'm a big College Football fan and for that I would like the ESPN Watch app which appears to not be available on PS4. PSVue is not an option because I'm not interested on TV. I have subscriptions to Netflix, Amazon, and Hulu for that. It's the limitation of the ESPN app that is stopping me from that jump since I use it with my brother's Uverse account information.

PS Vue will be right up ur alley.... and it would at least mean you can cut off Sling, Amazon/netflix (no sense having both)....etc. You pay for it too, just like u pay for sling, but what you get is better than sling.

I would advise you hold off till at least sept-nov. By that time we will know if or what the Neo will be if it's coming this year or not. You would be better off buying then than now, cause even if the Neo isn't coming this year, the deals you could get for the Ps4 would mean you could nab one for as little as $300 with maybe even up to 2/3 games. wait.

This makes me think that MS might have an exclusive deal with Disney for the WatchESPN app, so you are out of luck in that regard if PSVue is out of the question for you.

You definitely won't regret it. And the ps VUE is an excellent TV service at a great price. They recently added the NFL to it too.

If you ever have time for 2 platforms again in future go ps4/pc. You basically have every game made except for Nintendos.
