Look, I get it, not all of us have unlimited time and money to spend. So we spend them on what will get us the most fun, or at least, the most guaranteed fun.

I used to watch a lot of good movies, now I don't have enough time for them, so I got very picky. I only watch what I think will be a great movie, and I get cranky if the movie I choose to watch turns out garbage. I know that I am missing out on lots of great movies because my selection process isn't perfect, but what will I do? I can only resort to watching guaranteed quality, and leave the rest to when I am retired or reincarcerated

Reincarcerated?

Wow. Is that a word?

Looked it up, it works too. I'll have plenty of time when I am put behind bars again

I meant to type "reincarnated". Not sure what happened there XD

Verb

incarcerate (third-person singular simple present incarceratespresent participle incarceratingsimple past and past participle incarcerated

  1. To lock away; to imprison, especially for breaking the law.
  2. To confine.

consoles are superior in every way. If Nintendo dedicated all of their resources to a console it would be considered the greatest console of all time.

I so just picture someone dragging a trail of their PS4, a TV, cables, a generator onto a bus screaming out "IT'S SUPERIOR IN EVERYWAY"

Consoles are almost always inferior in their battery capacity, having built in controls capacity and ability to function without an external display capacity.

With the exception of the PSP every handheld has also been superior in the loading department / having to install games department given that even the 3ds can store a dual layer dvd worth of data on it's cards and I can't find the exact size of the Vita cards online but I know there are several Vita retail games which feature 2-3x PS2 titles with HD'd up textures like MGS HD collection, ratchet and clank, God of War HD etc. I guess you could spin it and say Consoles have superior amounts of loading... if you are into that kinda thing though!

Because video game companies treat them as inferior or not as important as home consoles.

Oh, so you're not expecting to go to jail again soon then? Phew

Gotta make some money first, bribing the guards to smuggle me games ain't cheap!

sorry to break you bubble, but handhelds/mobile are INFERIOR to pc/consoles, THAT'S A FACT, or do you want to argue with me how some handheld noname gpu/cpu is more powerful than a gtx 1080/i7 extreme?

He is not talking about power, jesus, seems like some people is unable to think in anymore than power when talking about consoles, is just sad.

Yeah pretty much this for me really overall here, if someone thinks that the SNES had zero good games on it because it was running a 2.79mhz CPU in it or the PSone wasn't capable of a good game with its 33Mhz chip.

Heck even if you look at the less beefy 3DS compared to the Playstation 2's hardware the 3DS runs circles around it in terms of raw power and memory capacity.

Point I'm trying to make is all those systems were perfectly capable of creating fantastic games if it's a case of you need to have the absolute max CPU/GPU to consider a machine worthy of gaming... then only the PC can ever really qualify as a games machine. (I'm not saying this is the case because I'll happily play games on the original DS still whenever I'm in the loo! but still just pointing out the weakness in the "it needs powah for me to consider it a gaemz machine" logic)

That's wrong though.

Capcom have published 10 games for the Wii-U, 16 on the 3ds

Activision have 25 titles on the Wii-U but 37 on the 3ds

Surely they should put more games on the home console because it is more important to them... because... it's on the ground? Or maybe a company actually bases what is more important to them in terms of sales figures and revenue rather than if it's a handheld or a console?

Totally fair comparison, especially with different genres, different art styles and heavy artifacts on the handheld picture!

Guess which is on a handheld and which is on a console?

Of course you can see minor differences, but each handheld generation the general look of handheld games came closer to the home console games.

That's totally fine. Just don't wander around and tell people handhelds would suck or something or that they only offer inferior Gameplay. If you haven't tried it, just don't talk about it. I also don't talk about Xbox lately because I don't have an Xbox and I don't plan on getting one. There may or may not be great games on the console, I simply do not know.

Official member of VGC's Nintendo family, approved by the one and only RolStoppable. I feel honored.

Exactly.

If you don't know what you are missing, and don't have time to check it out, don't assume it will offer you inferior experiences.

I have no idea if the movies I am passing on are better or worse than the ones I choose to watch. Life is too short

Well, they are inferior in terms of specs. Really, handheld makers can't exactly keep up with not only home consoles in terms of power, but also smartphone in terms of resolution. That's because gamers have shown they don't really want to pay more than $200 for a handheld, but will pay more than that for a good phone. They just value the devices differently. It's why the handheld market is shrinking drastically this gen, while the PS4 is still outpacing the PS2. And why I just don't see a NX handheld being very successful.
