I'm slightly annoyed. I finally got a chance to catch my first Pikachu, with half-decent CP too, and it ran away. Right after it ran away, it appeared on my brother's game (he was standing right next to me), and he caught it with the first throw. ;_; What's unfair to me is that while it didn't appear on my map after disappearing, it still appeared on my brother's map. Oh well. At least I finally got that Dratini...

Well all Pokemon spawn in place for everyone to catch for 15 minutes, once you get into the fight the Pokemon is removed from the map in 1 of 2 ways, either you catch it and it dissappears or else it runs away from the fight and it is removed. If you choose to escape from the fight the Pokemon remains on the map to allow you leave combat and catch some better Pokeballs or Raspberrys fast to catch him.

Met a person in town today during my walk abouts who has sunk over 2k into the game.... He's level 32 with some nice Snorlax's but still... this wasn't a rich person in the slightest and he has sunk any and all savings he has into playing it. 9 incubators working away, stocked up fully on lure modules, lucky eggs and incense going all the time, I actually felt like taking the phone off him and saying to stop.

I mean I play it a fair deal but still... this I think is just too much for any person to consider spending on a mobile phone app.

my god... Didn't think people could take it so seriously.

12/22/2016- Made a bet with Ganoncrotch that the first 6 months of 2017 will be worse than 2016. A poll will be made to determine the winner. Loser has to take a picture of them imitating their profile picture.

Hey, thanks for the info! I didn't know that. Still, pretty annoying. Pokémon vanishing when you're trying to capture them is probably the feature I hate the most because it feels so unfair. You don't even have a chance, there's nothing you can do to stop it from happening! I'd be OK (although I wouldn't like it) with it if I could still find the pokémon, but I can't and that sucks.

Yeah I mean I use it as an excuse to get out and go walking, I have just under 170KM clocked up on it now strolling around the place catching them and hatching stuff, but I have spent €5 just for some Backpack upgrades at the very start and now from taking Gyms and such I earned about another €5 of the currency for more items myself, but yeah.... I mean he was at least 1.5 to 2k euro into the game in Pokecoins I really just felt for the guy. Just... I dunno it was just too much especially like I said... this wasn't a rich person by any stretch of the imagination.

For Pikachu since he is a starter Pokemon you can find them inside in the 2km eggs too, so if you want to focus on burning through all the 2k ones you find in your infinite incubator you should find a Pikachu eventually (just never ever put a 2k egg into a breakable incubator, literally waste of money, if you have 3x 2k eggs done in a 3use incubator you get 6km out of it in total, 3x5 or 10k eggs gets you 15k or 30k worth of walking out of them)

I burn through the eggs as smartly as possible. In practice, I only use breakable incubators for 5 km or 10 km eggs, and preferably 10 km eggs if possible just for the reason you mentioned. I can burn through 2 km eggs pretty quickly when I get them. However, I've been extremely unlucky with my eggs, as I've got mostly 5 km eggs. I thought they were supposed to be pretty evenly distributed, but I think at least 60-70 % of my eggs have been 5 km eggs, which sucks, because I keep getting Parases from them. And talking about my luck, I haven't seen a single Charmander either aside from the one I started with. I've seen several Squirtles and Bulbasaurs though. I guess I just have to keep playing and hope for the best.

That can't be true. I get about 65% 5km 30% 2km and only 5% 10km eggs. And I've hatched about 100 eggs so the sample size is pretty big.

And yeah the escape mechanic is so annoying. I've had a 1700+ CP Exeggutor escape after giving him a berry and throwing ONE ultra ball.

Anyone have an updated Pokemon nest map? I found a google maps one that was outdated that i used to find a dratini nest. Needless to say that area was no longer a nest.

mine are still alright.

I just like it when the nests are in small areas with a few pokestops and all you do is sit, catch and turn them into candies

Well, obviously it isn't true then. I really don't like the distribution though... With room for so few eggs and such an uneven distribution, it's just ridiculous we can't discard eggs. I don't like getting 5 km eggs all the time, it's boring and limits the pool of Pokémon I can get from eggs significantly. I got pretty lucky in the first few days in regard to eggs, but after that, it's been mostly 5 km eggs. Right now I'm hatching a 2 km egg, but at least the two previous ones I had were 5 km eggs, and in addition to the 2 km egg I'm hatching, I have seven 5 km eggs. In total, one of my last ten last eggs has been a 2 km one, while the rest have been 5 km eggs. Fun? No, definitely not. I'd especially think that the 2 km ones would be pretty common but apparently not.
